We've spent thirty years improving the missiles and radar. Plus if some of the missiles were aimed at the patriot batteries them selves, it should be easier to hit them as they are a direct shot.
Were any of the batteries damaged? Maybe. But if they were destroyed, the Russians would be crowing about it.

I have no idea if any of this is true. I tend to put no faith on “news” from either side. The only thing I KNOW from the video was that I saw anti-ballistic missile after missile being fired off and each one being launched cost the AMERICAN TAXPAYERS yet another $3 million.
It's called field testing!
I'm sure that they collected tons of valuable information, showing how the defense system works in actual practice against actual Russian missiles - something that's a little, ahem, difficult to simulate on American soil.

I don’t know if Putin is dead but I do know here on FR over the past year it’s been reported he’s got cancer and is near death while also soiling himself on at least once

Granted that at $3 million a pop, I’d be saving them for defending high importance targets or vs. Russia’s best missiles.
Russian have been trying to improve their tank design since 2014 with the T14 Armata and it still needs to be towed whenever its brought out for parades.

Most likely scenario: Russians launch eight or ten of the Iranian drones; hohos fire another billion dollars worth of patiot missiles to kill the $5k drones, thus showing Russian satellites where the Patriot battery(s) are; kinzhal(s) come in and wipe the Patriot battery(s).....
Air defense has layers. These slow-moving Iranian thrones will be shot down by either anti-air cannons or cheap and old Sidewinders.
