Erdogan has the audacity to care nothing about what Washington wants and chooses instead to prioritize Turkey in his choice of direction.

If he wins the 2nd round, which is now likely, the war in Ukraine will lose a mechanism for Russian defeat.

It means that Erdogan the Islamist is pretty unpopular compared to 10 years ago. But he is still a dictator.

It means that he is aligned with Russia and not a good member of NATO.

The Kemalists do not support the Islamists, but they are brutal rulers too. I suspect that have made a silent come back in past 5 years. There was a time when the Kemalists would have ended Erdogan.

And it means that Slo Joe is again stirring in a pot that he should stay out of.

Loss of Turkey to NATO would again be a blow to NATO. But on the other hand, the EU members of NATO are anti American at heart.

So Bad Choices all around. These shifts also mean the world is more susceptible to financial calamity and war.

And Slo Joe and Obama have made the US military much weaker.

And Slo Joe and the #ComDems have almost bankrupted the USA. If we knew the real truth, the world is on the brink of a total financial collapse. One not seen in my lifetime.

God Bless the USA.

This source of news of the region from the Kurds, was always reliable. Their world view does not match ours, but I found them honest. A rare thing in the Middle East.

If you want to spend time trying to understand it, it will be more accurate than the pure state propaganda in Turkey. There is no dissenting media there. It is outlawed. All news inside of Turkey is a total lie, pretty much like out MSM.

"Biden gave the instructions saying 'we have to topple Erdogan' I know this"

I'm not buying it. Biden was there when Obama blocked the Turkish military from doing it's constitutional duty to remove Erdogan.

From an article a few weeks ago.

“Kilicdaroglu last year said that the US had filled Greece with military bases and his party was ready to back the Erdogan government if it wanted to close all American military facilities in Turkey.

“We are against foreign soldiers on our land as much as we are against neoliberalism. We are ready to do whatever is necessary,” he said.

Yet last month, Kilicdaroglu met US Ambassador Jeff Flake in Ankara, drawing anger from Erdogan, who is suspicious of Washington due to President Joe Biden’s statements during the 2020 US election campaign where he said he would back the opposition and the Turkish president had “to pay a price”.”

The deep state is making “efforts” against
China (as well as Russia)? What planet does this author live on? China is a tool of the international deep state.

The latest data I have seen suggested the expat Turks living in Germany were the bulk of exterior votes. And they would go for the opposition. But their numbers, as best I have seen, are nowhere near as large as the anti Erdogen text claimed.

An Erdogan election likely has pro Russia consequences in an overall sense, particularly in Syria, but in a very general way Erdogan is pro Turkey and doesn’t give a damn what the US govt wants.

In this context, the great threat remaining for the second round is US bribes to the 3rd party guy to endorse the opposition. That would likely reduce the Erdogan margin of victory to less than 1% — if that endorsement evolved to mean anything to those voters.

Useful to note that that 3rd party guy is ultranationalist and absolutely not the kind of candidate the US would be aligning with, but an Erdogan re-election probably is the end of Ukraine’s government and victory for Russia. Erdogan, with no election pending, would himself become much more nationalist and Turkey’s money comes from Russia’s gas flowing in the pipelines to Europe.

In the end, oil and gas determine everything.
