On May 10, 1872, Victoria Woodhull became the first female candidate for US President. (Since she was just under 34 years old at the time, she was ineligible to take the office.)
She was a libertarian when it came to sexual morality: "I am a free lover. I have an inalienable, constitutional and natural right to love whom I may, to love as long or short a period as I can; to change that love every day if I please."
She was steadfastly opposed to abortion, saying " I hold abortion to be just as much murder as the killing of a person after birth is murder."

Her mind was certainly confused, and her short hair was not the norm for that time, but at least in that photo her face isn’t fake, not painted with 8 or 9 products like most women today.
My wife quit the paint almost 40 years ago. It would seem weird to see it on her again. And she hasn’t cut her hair in that timespan. She has saved us thousands over the years.
Is she an ancestor of Alec Baldwin?
