As expected, the Florida Senate has passed the Ron DeSantis is a liar law, permitting the Florida Governor to run without resigning, by a vote of 28-12.
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (FLV) – The Florida Senate approved an election overhaul bill Wednesday 28-12, which included a clarification to the “resign-to-run” law. The change would exempt officeholders seeking the position of U.S. president or vice president from the state’s “resign-to-run” law. (read more)
Meanwhile, NBC is breaking exclusive news the Ron DeSantis team plan to launch the official announcement mid-May. Several weeks ago, after one of the official campaign contractors was hired, CTH shared what NBC is now confirming.

He has as much, if not more, steel in his spine against the left as Trump has, and has proved it in the way he has improved conservatism in FL by pushing state politics sharply to the right.
DeSantis followed the path that Florida’s Republican legislature laid out for him. Steel spine not required.

Charlie Crist was never the Democrat governor of Florida. At the time he was governor, he was a Republican and this law was changed to allow him to be McCain’s VP choice, but that didn’t happen.
DeSantis was having a good week on his foreign trade mission to key US allies, and it just got better.
The purpose of the law is to protect the jobs of incumbent legislators, though. That’s why they passed it in the first place. It’s a bad law. Only five states nationwide have such a law. And, if the legislature put the law into place, then the legislature can certainly change it.
And yet, some Freepers say that DeSantis should not have gone overseas.
There really are some some short angry comments on this site with this Trump versus DeSantis business.

Voting for the Uniparty whether headed by Bad Option A or Bad Option B makes no difference.
