That’s an interesting story! - can you share some details?
From most reliable sources, Lucy’s grandfather was a communist and she joined the party for a short time in her youth. She was married to a very anti-communist Goldwater and Nixon supporter (Desi) and even had her name cleared I believe by J Edgar Hoover who was a fan of hers.
