Today, April 23, is Saint George’s Day, which used to be widely celebrated, especially in England, as George is that nation’s patron saint.
To underscore just how much things have changed between England and its patron saint, consider the following “what if” scenario offered by English historian Edward Gibbon (1737-1794). Had the Muslims won at the pivotal Battle of Tours (732 A.D.), Gibbon predicted that:

The world leader, later called the “beast”, is revealed as an Assyrian but nobody knows yet who it is - only after we and the Holy Spirit and His restraining power are gone, will this “man of sin” be revealed and the whole world will “wonder” after him.
The time to get saved is NOW!!

I believe something unexpected is going to happen between now and then which will delay our exit (to the great Marriage Supper of the Lamb) and the commiserate demise of the world: a final worldwide incoming of souls to Jesus as God mercifully brings in as many as will come before that great and terrible day of his wrath, as prophesied in Luke 14:23.
