Moon over Parma bring my love to me tonight.
Guide her to Eastlake, underneath your silvery light.
We met in Ashtabula, she was doing the hula.
I landed her in my radishes and pledged my love that night.
Moon over Parma, won’t you bring my love to me?
Shine on the freeway and guide her AMC.
Get her past those radar Mounties, bring her to Lake County, Moon over Parma, tonight.
Moon over Parma shine on I-271. We can get together in the warm light of the sun.
I’m askin’ you don’t fail. Get her safely through Linndale,
I can’t go to Parma cause my Edsel will not run.
Moon over Parma, where those pink flamingos stand.
I need her kisses and the soft touch of her hand.
We’re goin bowlin, so don’t lose her in Solon.
Moon over Parma, tonight. I said tonight.
Moon over Parma, tonight. Moon over Parma, (2X) Moon over Parma, tonight.
What moron ordered a tug boat to be in the way???
This would not have happened if the Navy had taken climate change more seriously.
(Everything bad is due to climate change, right?)
The Chinese assigned to spy on us were likely falling off their monitor chairs from the laughter, having to use inhalers to overcome the hyperventillation.
That said, I hope this present a learning experience for our Navy. I have heard zero about this incident.
We may be running out of that temporary luxury known as Peacetime. Time to get serious, again.
“Helmsman, steady as ze goes.”
So were the Russian spies...

Navy doesn’t build ships it buys ships. Contractor built and launched at Wisconsin Shipyard.
It was the very first glass ceiling breaking EQUITY LAUNCH. You had to look at the color and use of pronouns to be on the team.

“Breaking it” is a bit dramatic. And it wasn’t the Navy that launched it, it was the shipyard.
The contractor.
Crabs launch sideways
Lobsters launch straight
WTF...
I was certain it was the contractor building the ship, but then one sees thread articles like this one.
Stories like this with misleading titles and subjects are becoming common.
—And there’s a reason the tug is there. There is a risk in a sidewise launch that the ship will rock back into the ways. I’d be pretty sure there’s a line that the tug can use to keep the ship from rocking back too far. Back in the 60’s Mare Island skipped that step and launched a submarine into the opposite river bank-—no safety lines on it.
A way bigger problem is what is the Navy going to do with a hull they didn’t want? They’ve been trying to give away the LCS’s they already have?
