Britain had better get themselves an Amendment 2 clone. They WILL need it. We shure as hell will need ours.
Will John F’ing Kerry’s freedom of movement be restricted?
I’ve lived in the aspirational ideal of a 15 minute city for over 40 years. It’s called a “neighborhood.” It’s the traditional and sensible way to live in a big city. The big wrong turn was redesigning cities for automobile commuters, which meant optimizing the city for people who didn’t actually live there.
Total Insanity!
Pure NUTS!
Anyone that sees the climate change is delusional so lock them up in the nuthouse
The third world needs to nullify this crap. They’ve got the numbers.
Or have they, too, been so thoroughly bought off?
(oops, just answered my own question.)

Canterbury’s council will make many enemies
We have quite a few ways to leave my city. Plenty of country roads. There isn’t enough cops to cover them all

To those that think the people would not allow this, think about how wild animals can be caught and penned over a period of time. You build a fence and leave one side with a gated opening. Next you put food in the enclosure on a daily basis at the same time each day.
Once the animals have become thoroughly accustomed to eating inside the enclosure, you wait until feeding time and they have all entered the enclosure, and then you simply close the gate on the fourth side. Voila! Your animals are now penned and no longer free!
That’s how 15 minute cities will be implemented. A little at a time and at first voluntary and promoted as a convenience. Then slowly required until you are forced to move into one if you want to access food and other services.
