During an Apr. 12 meeting, the Associated Students of Whitworth University voted 9-4 against hosting Xi Van Fleet, a survivor of Maoist China, on campus and cited her anti-woke tweets.
'Those people who believe in lived experience, then they are going to get the lived experience from me because I’m not talking about an idea that I read or researched or studied,' Van Fleet says.
The student government at Whitworth University (WU) voted to reject a speaker who survived communism under Mao Zedong and criticizes woke culture for suppressing opposing ideas.
During an Apr. 12 meeting, the Associated Students of Whitworth University (ASWU) voted 9-4 against hosting Xi Van Fleet on campus. Van Fleet immigrated from Maoist China to the U.S. and draws parallels between the Chinese Cultural Revolution and what she calls the “Woke Revolution,” according to a description of her book Mao's America: A Survivor's Warning.
WU is a private Christian university in Spokane, Wash.

What a disappointment. Whitworth is a good school and we have friends whose kids went there.

Americans have been indoctrinated to believe anything that goes against what they have been taught to believe is hate speech.

My question exactly to anyone attempting to stifle free speech in this country.
Simply host the event next to the school at the original time, and send tickets to all those students, see if any of the 9 have the guts to show up. Have security standing by.
Colleges and universities are cesspools for radical Marxists, collectivists, and revolutionaries, and have been for decades.
Colleges are no longer places for learning, understanding, and critical thinking. They are places of indoctrination; therefore, why would they willingly allow different opinions and new facts? They are cults spewing out dangerous, brainwashed cultists.
Afraid of free thinkers, of people not easily brainwashed. They likely fear self-reflection and the possibility of questioning their perspectives and beliefs. These are people whose entire identities are based around “woke.” They have become a collective organism where individuals are irrelevant. So to them, if you attack “woke,” it is personal, like the Borg.
