Removed the authorization for the original vaccines while keepting the authorization for the updated bi-valent vaccines which includes the original vaccines with the addition of the vaccines updated for the omicron variant.
IOW, you still get the original vaccine plus more.

The agency said it had amended the emergency use authorizations of the initial Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines in order to “simplify the vaccination schedule for most individuals.” If the pandemic emergency is over, then why even keep the emergency use authorization at all?

Still emergency authorization, so no liability. And, since an emergency approval becomes void if an actual treatment is available, Iverwhatsit/etc will continue to be suppressed.
