The Food and Drug Administration pulled the emergency use authorizations for the original COVID vaccines produced by Moderna and Pfizer on Tuesday.
Both vaccines were authorized for emergency use more than two years ago after they were developed under Operation Warp Speed during the Trump administration.
In a news release, the FDA explained the older vaccines no longer offer full protection from new strains of the virus.
The agency said it had amended the emergency use authorizations of the initial Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines in order to “simplify the vaccination schedule for most individuals.”
“This action includes authorizing the current bivalent vaccines (original and omicron BA.4/BA.5 strains) to be used for all doses administered to individuals 6 months of age and older, including for an additional dose or doses for certain populations,” the FDA said.

Still not getting it. They have had time to figure out why it didn’t kill enough people and fix that problem.
The FDA just proved we can do without this agency.
Removed the authorization for the original vaccines while keepting the authorization for the updated bi-valent vaccines which includes the original vaccines with the addition of the vaccines updated for the omicron variant.
IOW, you still get the original vaccine plus more.

It’s misleading to claim that the original vaccine was ineffective against all variants because it wasn’t as effective against the newer vaccines.

supposedly, according to the lying media, they had a 14% overall chance of helping the very sick not die- I see however liberals suggesting it has a 90% protection rate- even in ads- that is a flat out lie though-
Healthy people and young people never needed the vaccines as they had a near 100% chance of surviving the virus-
