Having used almost all stock of strategic cruise missiles against the Ukrainian power grid, Russians started using older guided bombs on the frontline, Ukraine’s spokesman of the Air Force, Yuriy Ihnat, said on TV air.
Despite the older technology, guided bombs can be launched from Russian planes 50 kilometers behind the frontline, making it a relatively safe operation for Russian pilots. These bombs are deadly, causing large explosions and destroying Ukrainian fortifications.

Muscowy already lost thrice in this war
It lost in March 2022 when it’s original plan to decapitate Ukraine and make it a vassal state failed when the Ukrainians won the battle of Hostomel airport.
It lost in June 2022 when it failed to take Mykolaiv, making it clear it would not take Odessa and render Ukraine landlocked - this was reinforced in November 2022 when it lost Kherson city.
It lost in September when the areas to the east of Kharkiv were cleared of Russians.
Russia is now trying desperately to hold on to the land bridge - while 25% of the territories it declared as “Russia forever” have already been taken back by the Ukrainians.

Your comments are entertaining, yes let’s do the math. After 10 months the second best army in Ukraine has captured 83% of a small city. Yup Kiev is soon to follow.
However this goes, warfare as it has been done in the past will have to be seriously rethought. Drones appear to be great assymetrical equalizers. Both sides lost the ability to use air cover effectively. The use of tanks other than stand off mobile artillery is futile as they appear to get easily picked off. The fighting resembles a WWI meatgrinder scenario with far off unreachable artillery and men sweating it out in trenches and fox holes. Over the top boys!

Update on the conflict in Ukraine for April 19, 2023
- Both Russia's and Ukraine's presidents visit front line troops in Kherson and the Donbass region respectively;
- Russian forces continue to gain ground in Bakhmut, pro-Ukrainian maps show the main rail station now under Russian control;
- Ukrainian general admits Russia carrying out airstrikes in Bakhmut further indicating an increasingly pivotal change in the nature of fighting in Russia's favor;
- Western analysis continues to paint a bleak picture regarding Ukraine's upcoming offensive, noting that even if it manages to succeed in taking territory, it does little to change the lopsided nature of what is actually a war of attrition Ukraine is losing;
- Former Western diplomats and military leaders have called for greater support for Ukraine, refusing to acknowledge the limits of Western military industrial output and Ukraine's ability to absorb weapon systems they are unfamiliar with;
