This CEO has just admitted in not doing his job and costing shareholders 5-7 billion dollars. Plus the costs of empowering all the people who did this. His neck is out and he says not me, I’m incompetent rather than I’m in charge and all things good/bad are on my shoulders.
Cut his salary, bonuses, options by 90% until shareholders are made whole.

I have been in Hong Kong the past week visiting my wife’s family and friends. I am not normally much of a beer drinker but after 10 days of endless dim sum, I have to say, the Chinese make some decent beer and they do not promote perversity.
Did a quick look at here bio Harvard grad in English literature and masters from worton school. She seems to likely support all the right woke causes.
So she tried to take the brand into the brave new world of woke and the real world slapped her hard.
It is far worse for an executive to “claim no knowledge,” rather than to stand up and say “I made a mistake, and I’m going to fix it.”
Your career might not survive either approach, but at least the latter approach doesn’t require you to admit that you were a complete moron and useless tool the way the former approach does.
Regardless as to what you think of AB products, prior to this, they had captured a significant share of the addressable market of beer drinkers. And again, no matter what you think of Bud Light, it rang up a lot of sales, where the unit of sale was a case or keg, as opposed to an individual serving or six-pack, and in spite of very competitive pricing, still had solid margins.
The idea that any sentient being would risk all that to appeal to what is at most a few hundredths of a percent of the population, a demographic, that unlike gays and lesbians have little in the way of disposal income, and that to the extent it drinks, prefers cheap box wine, or “white girl waters” (White Claw or other hard seltzers) is simply not credible, even as the basis for parody or satire.
A marketing strategy to pursue the drinkers of “Bum Wines” would appear to be as foolish, but at least has some potential to generate additional revenue and profits.
Jenifer Morris is no rocket scientist, either. I wonder if she ever left her woke castle to interview consumers of her product. If she had, I doubt if she would find them really that interested in boosting her vision. Now these two have nailed Bud Light as the transgender beer of choice. A $5 billion slide in equity is a pretty big "oops" and suggests she didn't read her customers very well.

Both in much of the private sector, and even more so in the government sector, the asst VPs are narrow focused, They jealously guard their turf and most do not want to stick their nose into some else’s turf. They all have embarrassments and are more concerned about their own embarrassmet being found out than learning about others mistakes.
It is even worse in government. It is amazing the number of bureaucrats who do not know that the programs of their agency do not actually help anyone. They give money to the poor and the poor are still poor. They give money to corporate welfare and then see that corporation leave the state.
It is true in politics. Both Trumpers and establishment Republicans are ignorant of the truth and do not want to hear it.
It's sort of a reminder, I guess, that *all* of A-B needs to feel the pain over this. Don't be surprised if they try to heap all the repercussions on just the "Light" team, but...

Donny reminded us that Trump was pretty weak on social issues. He was always pretty cozy with the gays. He was hesitant to rescind Obongo’s LBGT school mandates.
Not condeming it, not changing it. So they just don't want to be blamed. Well, for their inattentiveness and incompetence, they should all be fired.
