Why Did Bud Light Choose to Follow the Hershey Highway to Hell?

OK, that was probably the most bizarre post title I've ever written, but if you need a break from the bizarre show trial up in NY that even has reliable Leftists scratching their heads then read on! First off, I never got around to writing a post on Hershey's Chocloate's woke campaign of celbrating Women's History Month by erasing women and replacing them with men. When did even my beloved childhood candy decide it now needs to hate me? Seriously, I'm so old I remember when a seemingly all American brand like Hershey proudly branded itself "The Great American Chocolate Bar". Watch the commercial at the link - it could easily be a 2023 ad in terms of the diversity of its cast. And sadly, it's equally dated by the fact that the people of the different backgrounds are are equally proud Americans. Which brings us to Anheuser-Busch (AB).

AB used to be possibly the most All American of all American brands - here is how it celebrated America back in 1986. At some point we went past this bizarre crossroads where being pro-American was smart marketing to where now companies seem to think that promoting groups that despise this country is good business. I'm not a Bud Light fan, but in terms of a drinkable swill I find it on par with the rest. Considering back in the day my weapons fo choice were Schaeffer, and later, Busch tall boys and my premium beer was Michelob, I'm never exactly been a beer snob. A few years ago I swore off of Bud Light when they introduced the now by comparison tame ad campaign of anti-men spokesmodels Amy Schumer and Seth Rogan to run the "Bud Light Party" ads. Judging from sales numbers, I wasn't the only one to stop drinking Bud Light, a course they corrected. I'm on board with the Path of Redemption school of thought, so whe Bud Light dropped the stupid I was fine with purchasing them on occasion again. Not this time.

At this point, you don't need me to recap the whole Dylan Mulvaney/Bud Light debacle. Twitchy found a tweet that summed up the graphic truth of this story:

https://twitter.com/realmichaelseif/status/1642900438600110081

If the tweet isn't showing in your browser, it reads "When the George Floyd riots began, every American corporation dropped the American flag from their logo and replaced it with BLM. Less than a week after three Christian children were killed by a trans person, Bud Light made a trans person an ambassador for their brand."

Dead on. How did we get from ad campaigns targeting a population that can all appreciate Patriotism to showing that your product is adjacent to *ahem* inappropriately associating with minors? For that matter, exactly how is this ad campaign going to increase sales? While alienating the vast majority of your customer base, you think it will be magically replaced and surpassed by demograpics that drink either Trader Joe's Three Buck Chuck or the various vile cans of flavored hand sanitizer? Or maybe the jet fuel genius behind this ad campign had probably never actually met anyone who's ever consumed the product that she was supposed to promote?

So this is where I draw the line. Whereas with the Schumer/Rogan beta cuck campaign, I just boycotted Bud Light, when AB dropped that stupidity I accepted their path to redemption and resumed my occasional Bud Light choice of swill consumption. Not this time.

This was a massive middle finger America. While what I'm about to say is borderline Godwin's Law, AB is promoting an ideology that wants to destoy America

Corporate Marketing and “Social Media” departments are infested by far left liberals and have way too much influence in the corporate boardroom.

“I’ve read AB Execs are blaming a rogue lefty in Marketing.”

Don’t buy it. Nobody in marketing actually approves ad campaigns, they just propose them. Someone else higher up had to put the stamp of approval on it, or the ad company and Mulvaney couldn’t get paid.

Madison Avenue Ad Agencies are run by sexual weirdos.

Corporations are run by cowards afraid to stand up to sexual weirdos...

Sw we get ‘woman-face’ - similar to blackface - where creeps mock based on silly insulting stereotypes..

What is the one thing Corporations, or businesses in general hate more than anything? Controversy. And the Left gets to define what is "controversial".

This is what happens when you spend all of your political capitol lowering taxes for the rich and then fulfilling every corporate agenda they had. They all become Democrats! Do you now understand why no conservative cause ever became reality that did not benefit them? They used all of the political capitol on themselves. We were played! Time for them to pay more taxes.

At this point our so-called “boycotts” don’t matter to these companies (Nike, Hershey, Disney, Anh-bud, the big banks, ESPN, NBA, Meta, Amazon, etc…)...

They boycotts don't matter to them because they were already losing money before starting up controversy in an attempt to get all they could from the bounce of a dead cat.

Some large banks like Wells Fargo were creating fictitious accounts in customers' names because the staff had no other means of making targets.

Televised sports have been in decline for decades, impacting the NFL, NBA, MLB and ESPN.

Gillette's sales were 50% of what they were previously when they ran their misandry ad campaigns.

They're going woke because they're already going broke. The boycotts are part of the accelerated decline.

My comment is the same as yesterday: If anyone is still buying an Anheuser-Busch product...why?

Coors has a good stable of brands for competition.

Good luck finding a company that doesn’t do this.

Gays have a LOT of disposable income.

Your best bet is to boycott, as much as possible, all big name food companies and big box stores. Better to buy an independent craft beer, even if the owner is a leftist, than to go with big brands like Budweiser, Miller, and Coors. Better an independent hardware store than Home Depot or Lowe's. Get your coffee at an independent or small chain coffee shop than Starbucks. And so on.

The conservative losing streak in the culture wars has been continuous since the 1950s. It is approaching the length of the Red Sox failure to win the World Series. It is probable conservatives will lose the transgender battle, just as we lost the fights against birth control, sex education, pornography, no fault divorce, abortion, and homosexuality. Admittedly, the Supreme Court did reverse Roe v. Wade, but several states have doubled down on abortion "rights".

Conservatives, libertarians, and traditional Christians must create parallel institutions to counter the near total takeover of this country's major institutions by the Left. That also includes concentrating on buying local when feasible and taking over city halls, school boards, and county courthouses.
