Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg confirmed he used federal funds in his investigation into Trump’s so-called ‘hush payment’ to porn star Stormy Daniels.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and House Administration Committee Chair Bryan Steil last week launched an investigation into DA Alvin Bragg, accusing him of abusing his power.
Last Monday the three House GOP lawmakers sent Bragg a letter demanding testimony and documents related to his investigation into the ‘hush payment’ after Trump said his arrest was imminent.
Bragg fired off a nasty reply letter earlier this week – and the House Republicans hit back again in their relentless quest to hold Bragg accountable.
Alvin Bragg replied to the House Republicans again on Friday.
As TGP’s Kristinn Taylor reported, Bragg on Friday pushed back against House Republicans’ efforts to investigate his prosecution of President Trump with a scathing letter.
Alvin Bragg accused House Republicans of collaborating with Trump to “vilify” prosecutors and judges.
The Soros-backed Manhattan DA also admitted his office indeed used federal funds in his bogus investigation into Trump.
“Our review of the Office’s records reflect that, of the federal forfeiture money that the Office helped collect, approximately $5,000 was spent on expenses incurred relating to the investigation of Donald J. Trump or the Trump Organization.” Bragg’s office wrote to GOP Reps. Jim Jordan, Steil, and Comer.
“These expenses were incurred between October 2019 and August 2021. Most of those costs are attributed to the Supreme Court case, Trump v. Vance—subpoena-related litigation in which the DA’s Office prevailed and which led to the indictment and conviction of Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg and two Trump organizations. No expenses incurred relating to this matter have been paid from funds that the Office receives through federal grant programs.” Bragg’s office said.
“Federal funds = congressional oversight” House Judiciary member Rep. Russell Fry said on Friday evening.

Bragg needs to be indicted by a Florida DA.
An indictment of Bragg Tomorrow would work for me,
It is not happening.Republican DAs do not indict Democrats.
YUP
And the sooner HE gets arrested the better
No more “it’s racist to investigate me!” BS
So Alvin Bragg used federal funds to interfere in a federal election? And, what are we going to do about it? Probably nothing...
They never are.
They’re so consumed by their hate, they can’t think straight.
Ohhhhh!
He took!
Now he’s in it and Congress can give him a noogy...
So he used federal “hush money”!
That’s okay, it’s all for their great cause.
Did anyone see that Lanny Davis is Coen’s lawyer? So we know for sure that the HildaBeast and Bendy are in on it. Every time the Democrats are up to something particularly nefarious,Lanny is a part of it. Go away Nancy Boy Lanney.
We aren’t going to do anything. However, elected conservatives in Congress can now hold hearings and proceed with an investigation to prove Bragg is guilty of misappropriation of federal funds. Busted!!
“The Large Dem Cities are flooded with Federal money. They are addicted to it.”
Federal revenue sharing, with state and local governments, began in a large way under the administration of Republican president Richard Nixon. It has morphed into a vehicle for the federal bureaucracy to exert control over the activities of state and local government.
The extortion is simple. The message to state governments is: Take the money and do as the federal bureaucrats say. Don’t take the money and your citizens will be outraged at state and local politician for paying extra taxes because state and local politicians are turning down free money.
Recently local government bureaucrats in a mid size city in a southern state announced the spending of $50 million to renovate and save the dilapidated old passenger terminal at an old airport that had been replaced decades ago and today serves only private aviation. The local bureaucrat announcing the plan proudly proclaimed no tax money will be spent on the project thanks to a federal grant.
Manna from heaven! Free money! The federal budget is full of these grants yet Congress and the administration claim they cannot meaningfully cut the budget without “hurting people”. How many people will be hurt if a long crumbling unused building continues to crumble? Multiply this unnecessary expenditure by the tens of thousands of similar federally funded local projects and there are hundreds of billions in federal spending that could be easily cut today.
$5000.00 my ASS!
I still want to see how much contact Bragg and Garland’s DoJ had with each other over the last 2 years. I heard that the DoJ sent one of their top slimeballs to NY to help out.
Bragg is a weaponized Black man, a tool of the faltering left
Emm. Isn’t misappropriation of funds the thing that Bragg is accusing Trump of doing.
Nailed it !
Jordan is proving — as Gowdy and others did before him — that committee hearings are where crimes go to die.
They exist for a lot of blather and speech-making. Grandstanding and bloviating. They certainly don’t exist to hold anyone responsible for their crimes or actions against the Constitution.
If they did exist for that, Jordan would immediately issue a subpoena for Bragg, requiring him to show up before the committee in 24 hours. If Bragg doesn’t show, Jordan would send the Capitol Police to arrest him and bring him before the committee — as other committees with actual balls have done in the past.
I’m so tired of this circus continually put on as a feel-good exercise. The Republicans are complete cucks, and we are rapidly sliding toward a one-party, corrupt, third world state.
And the Republicans are completely at fault...
Look out...
Bragg was sent a letter.
That’ll stop him.
100%
Election Interference also comes to mind.
I saw an article today where Alan Dershowitz said that Bragg or a Grand Jury member could face prison time. They could, but they won't, because there is no justice system left in this country. Only the innocent go to prison these days. Evil wins every time.
