Shortly after an elderly man rescued a German shepherd/Labrador Retriever mix dog from a shelter, the dog returned the favor and saved his life. A month after adopting the dog from a U.K. animal rescue, Peter Bradley, of Dorset, England, took his new friend named Ruby out on a walk. But due to low blood sugar, Bradley fainted and fell to the ground and into an 8-foot-deep watery ditch. Ruby immediately understood what was going on and sprung into action by barking for attention.

Good buddy.
German Shepherds are widely known for their intelligence.
That’s what qualifies so many to serve as police dogs.
Same thing goes for their slightly smaller, slighter smarter
cousin, the Belgian Malinois.
I think the Malinois are in general less playful, more all business.
In other news....man bites dog.
I’ve had dogs since I was 6. I have no siblings so they provided great company for me.
Every day I thank God for creating my loyal and noble friends.
Good doggie!
The gentleman has a picture on the wall of another fine looking dog. I’m thinking it was missing that good dog that inspired him to find another one to share his life. Maybe he was blessed with two great ones.
Godspeed, Ruby and Mr. Bradley!
I have Belgian Malinois (rescue) that will play football, baseball, and Frisbee all day if I let him. And he’s smart. They are described as German Shepherds on crack. They are high energy working dogs that need a job. Mine has a job and he loves to work. He frequently does a victory lap when he does the right thing.
I was living in a small town...Went for walk with my two Border Collies..in the dark.
The sidewalks here are horrible. But the Collies mind me like nobodies business..
Well I tripped on a crack in the sidewalk..and started to fall...well the collies were right under me..and I couldn't brace myself..and landed face first in a shrub.
Next thing I know..someone is asking me if I'm okay. It was a Cop. I asked if my dogs were still here...He said yes. I asked if I still had my wallet and glasses. He said yes. He asked me where I lived. I told him...just a few blocks away..Asked me if I wanted to go to the Hosp. Told him no..as I work there. He laughed.
Pretty sure I concussed.
The Cop walked me home.
That was a helpful cop.
Sounds like you were knocked out for a while. Might want to get a status check on both skull and spine.
On your way to get that status check, you can stop by ACE Hardware and get a vheap flashlight or two.
This was a few years ago...
My brain is as good as it was..I think. HA!!~
I have flash lights...LOL!! Just didn't have one that night.
