The move is the latest indication of a run to come, and a bruising one at that.

A super PAC closely aligned with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is making a major expansion, bringing on a top Republican strategist and establishing its headquarters in Atlanta.

It is a move that comes as the Florida governor takes steps toward launching a widely-expected presidential run.

Jeff Roe, who previously ran Sen. Ted Cruz’s 2016 presidential campaign, has signed on to be an adviser to the super PAC, Never Back Down, according to an operative with direct knowledge of the move.

Trump has put in the work and I think no one sees DeSantis as the MAGA air apparent any longer. It’s clear that if he wins the nomination it’s a clear win for the GOPe

“piece of sh*t”, a “creep”, “no ethics”, “soul-less” … among a plethora of other pejoratives.

Let's examine the man behind Ted Cruz's campaign.

What a great resume!

“brings on Ted Cruz’s campaign manager”

that’s an extremely bad sign for a desantis campaign ... cruz ran a nasty, scurrilous, dirty-tricks presidential campaign ... those same dirty-tricks and lies would totally kill any goodwill that desantis might start with ...

Title IX, Chapter 99, Section 99.012 of the Florida Statutes:

(3)(a) No officer may qualify as a candidate for another state, district, county, or municipal public office if the terms or any part thereof run concurrently with each other without resigning from the office he or she presently holds. (b)The resignation is irrevocable.

Who gives these guys advice?
I would avoid like the plaque anyone who worked for Mittens, Linda, McCain or Ted.
Ted’s evangelist stick he did in the midwest doomed him from ever being President.

Oh great

Wonderful move

“These Chicago rioters are Trump supporters”

That moment killed Ted on this forum with most of his diehards

That doesn’t seem to address a federal office - just state, counties, city/town and the like.

DeSantis has too many Trump-hating neocons advising him.

He needs to cool his jets until 2028,and run on Trump’s miraculous economic recovery.

I was on the wrong side of this back in 2016.

Cruz was the marquee "conservative". Jeff Roe was his campaign manager. Eventually the establishment would line up behind Cruz because he was their only hope to beat Trump.

And now here we are in 23/24 with the establishment trying to stop Trump again, this time with their guy DeSantis.

Sorry Jeff Roe, I won't be heading back. This time I'm going with the common sense, anti establishment fighter, and not the establishment conservative poser.

There’s dispute as to whether this includes presidential office.

It looks like either DeSantis resign from governor and campaign for president or remain as governor and not run for president.

If you are president you represent other states besides Florida.

Naww, Cruz was much stronger, overall, on Policy.

He turned out to be a turd, in many ways, but his overall policy positions were better than DeSantis’, all things considered.
