This movie subtly mocks the Commies back in 1961. If "Dr. Strangeglove" mocks the military Industrial complex, this film mocks a country other than America. A country that thankfully no longer exists.
I wish America still existed.

One Two Three was his last movie. He retired after starring in this movie.
But 20 years later he had a stroke. And so for health and therapeutic reasons, he once again returned to acting. In Ragtime.

This one “Comrade X” is also VERY funny, all good comedy contains a grain of truth...lol
There was another post about this movie a couple weeks ago. I found the full, high quality, no ads stream on archive.com of all places).
I really enjoyed it. Everything was so over-the-top including the ambitious Coca-Cola European VP of sales (Cagney) caricaturing the US capitalist world. It was nonstop laughs, so many apropos today.
Another great movie is “Goodbye, Lenin!”, where they try to explain away all the Coca-Cola ads suddenly appearing in East Berlin, by making up a story that the East Germans invented Coca-Cola.
Pamela Tiffin went to Italy.
She was a babe.

I just started “1923” and am enjoying that immensely. I thought the earlier “1883” series was just ok because it was so preposterous in so many areas.
