Trump Reveals What He'll Do If He's Indicted for What Happened on January 6, 2021

As the 2024 race heats up, the elephant in the room remains a variety of criminal investigations hanging over Donald Trump’s head.

A DOJ-appointed special counsel is currently probing the former president over January 6th and his possession of documents at Mar-a-Lago that the government alleges were classified. Meanwhile, Democrats in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office have resurrected their formerly shuttered criminal investigation involving supposed tax crimes. Past that, there’s also a pursuit of Trump going on in Georgia over the 2020 election, though that seemed to hit a snag recently when the foreperson of the grand jury turned out to be an insane person.

So what exactly will Trump do if he’s hit with one or more indictments? According to James Rosen, who spoke to the former president at CPAC, he won’t be dropping out of the presidential race.

We are in uncharted territory and anyone who says otherwise is wrong https://t.co/JiuW09FPv4

— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) March 4, 2023

Maggie Haberman is right that this is uncharted territory, but not in the way she means it. This is uncharted territory in that the weaponization of government to go after a presidential candidate over things that are so obviously not criminal is largely unprecedented.

The idea that Trump is legally liable for January 6th is farcical given there has been zero evidence presented showing he knew what was going to happen or asked people to enter the Capitol Building. Further, he pointedly told people to remain peaceful in their protests. Even the ridiculous January 6th Committee was reduced to whimpering about Trump not magically stopping the riot, having to concede there was no foreplanning.

Meanwhile, the cases against Trump in New York and Georgia are incredibly weak. The former was such a cluster that the far-left DA shut the investigation down for months until it was revived due to what was obviously partisan pressure. Their plan is to try to flip a Trump associate they failed to flip the first time around. And the Georgia investigation? There’s appears to be nothing there, as demonstrated by the grand jury foreperson’s hilarious media tour that left even liberals reeling at how little credibility remained.

Ironically, the best case against Trump is probably that he illegally possessed classified documents. Unfortunately for the DOJ, they are now faced with Joe Biden unquestionably illegally possessing classified documents. Are they really going to indict Trump while doing nothing to Biden? At least the former president claims he declassified what he had, a power that Biden didn’t have as vice president.

Given everything I’ve just laid out, it only makes sense that Trump wouldn’t drop out of the race if he’s indicted. To do so would only encourage more weaponization of the legal system for political gain.

With that said, there is the question of whether the DOJ or these other entities would try to secure a conviction before the 2024 election. The timeline is tight, and I’d think indictments would need to happen before the summer for that to work. We’ll see how it all plays out.

My prediction is they will likely seek an indictment of Trump on the smaller charge of “disrupting a public proceeding” but the Democrats/media will try to portray this as an actual equivalence of “insurrection” which is the much more dangerous charge, which could according to some legal interpretations even prevent him from running, but one they have little chance of proving. I guess we’ll see.

He will run and he will win. Stopping his ascension to President would be a very il advised move by anyone or anything.

Very very bad things would come from that attempt to deprive Americans of their vote for who will lead this Country.

He should promise that if he wins, he will go after EVERYbody involve in the collusion hoax, the insurrection hoax and the deep state . . . FISA judges included. They will all be permanently removed from government service and their pensions voided.

The Meritless Garland is going to be installing a grove of banana trees in the DOJ lobby for when his allies from Trollhatten and GA stop by to collude?

The “elections” are rigged, we have Mexican cartels running state governments and we’ve been turned into a third-world banana republic by the “By Any Means Necessary” Party and their Assistant Democrat pals across the aisle.

I wonder when the last time we had an actual honest, fair, and legal election was. For sure before obama. Trump was an outlier. They didn’t stuff enough votes to make Hitlery win. She’s still in shock over that one but the USA dodged a very deadly bullet.

I doubt we will ever have another fair election in most states or at the federal level. The deep state picks and chooses who will sit in those offices so they can tell them what to do. That’s why they can’t let Trump win. He can’t be controlled like the deep state picks.

Does anyone actually believe Dumbo Biden got 81M votes? Hahaha. Not a freakin’ chance he got more than 40M.

All the federal courts would have been packed with LGBTQABCXYZ Nazi zealots.

I agree. I remember Election Day 2016 in NYC walking from the Javits Center on up to the New York Hilton where Trump was to give his speech later that night.

At the Javits Center, it was an atmosphere of celebration (and this was early afternoon) with all the network trucks out in the street. The NY Hilton by contrast was a ghost town.

Early that evening, at the Peninsula Hotel (where the Clintons were staying), Bill Clinton was giddily embracing Hillary as they were assured it was in the bag.

Trump was so popular that their cheating was overwhelmed that night - especially up in the Rust Belt, that was considered such a clinch for Hillary that she didn't even campaign there in the final days.

They ensured the same mistake was not made in 2020, though even then they vastly underestimated the mammoth Trump vote. They had to shut down counting in the battleground states in the middle of the night in order to dredge up additional fake votes for Biden.

The result was that even though Trump won the largest number of votes of an incumbent president ever, the Biden team had to cheat even more flagrantly to put him over the top. Of course, as we all know, the mainstream media were fully in cahoots and declared Biden the winner. Even so, it took a Reichstag fire staged event on J6, and Pence's treachery, to finally put the seal on the steal.

“Ironically, the best case against Trump is probably that he illegally possessed classified documents.”

The idiot. A president can declassify, by established law, any document he wishes to. That is because the President has more authority than anyone in his administration who originally classified the document.

We all know what he wants to do. Don’t advertise it. Wait until after he’s elected. Then hit them with the bombshells.

...and the Hillary Clinton campaign even had a worker (can’t remember his name now) who warned them things were not as rosy as they arrogantly assumed, and he was ignored.

I think that would happen in a rematch with the Potato, but only if leftist/Democrat/RINO vote fraud is neutered. I see no indications that it will be, at least not in time for 2024.

With the Scumocrat's massive, well-tuned vote fraud mechanisms still in place Trump could get 500 million votes - and still "lose."
