Ukraine is thankfully not in NATO. We are not bound to protect them. If we are protecting them because a NATO country might be invaded, that is tactical. We are bound to protect NATO countries but they have not been invaded. I think we are supposed to wait until a NATO country is invaded It hasn’t happened.

He’s quite right. The cost of a Russian conquest in Ukraine will be the inevitable invasion and conquest of Kazakhstan and Moldova. Georgia will likely be on Pootie’s target list as well.
