Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) said in an interview this week that literally hundreds of Democrat U.S. lawmakers are apprehensive about President Joe Biden being the party’s nominee heading into the 2024 presidential race, but that they are too afraid to say anything.
Phillips’ remarks come after multiple polls have found that Democrat voters do not want Biden to be the party’s nominee again for a variety of reasons, including unfavorable economic conditions, skyrocketing inflation rates, disastrous foreign policy decisions, and the general view among some that he is too old and not mentally fit for office.
“This is not a knock on Joe Biden, just a wish for competition,” Phillips told The Atlantic. “In the business world, if the dominant brand in a category had favorability ratings like the current president does, you would see a number of established brands jump into that category. Believe me, there are literally hundreds in Congress who would say the same thing. But they simply won’t f***ing say a word.”
The remarks also come after Biden has continued to show his age in recent weeks, including falling on the stairs of Air Force one while visiting Europe this month.
This latest incident of Biden falling comes after White House physician Kevin O’Connor claimed last week that Biden was “a healthy, vigorous 80-year-old male who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency, to include those as Chief Executive, Head of State and Commander in Chief.”
Biden’s fall comes two years after he repeatedly fell while walking up the steps to Air Force One as he was preparing to go to Atlanta to visit with community leaders following an incident that happened in the city.
The incident in March 2021 happened just a few months after he fell and fractured his foot while he was allegedly chasing one of his dogs after he got out of the shower. Biden fell last summer while straddling his bicycle as he stood still on the road and tried to talk to reporters.
In this day and age, living into your nineties is not uncommon. With that said, I don’t think a lot of people want a president being that age. Just sayin.
If they “won’t f***ing say a word,” then they must not feel too strongly about it. That side doesn’t really have a problem with getting its message out. Hundreds? Literally?
The only way Biden goes is if he drops dead.
(Then he can vote in Chicago.)
You broke it, you bought it.
I'm almost ready to predict that Hillary knocks Joe out of the running.
As of now, biden will crush the gop field in 2024.
81,000,000 voters can’t be wrong!...........................
We can be sure the source was a Dem, they can’t resist using the F-word.
That because all their FREE Gubmint Sh*t will go away if their Pedo-President isn’t reelected. And Zelenskyyy won’t have a Daddy Warbucks Sugar Daddy in the District of Corruption to keep the liberals’ favorite war going.
Why not, are they afraid of the Blue Rat gestapo?
Wrong. In the business world, if the dominant brand in a category had favorability ratings like the current president does, you would see a number of established brands jump into a different category or try like hell to improve their product.
If we had fair elections, there is no way that could happen.
Fair elections don’t matter, the dems unite, the gop has too many divisions to be a able opposition. The primaries will create even more cracks.
Is that any different from 2020? Did the dems really think that Joe was going to be a good president? Really?????
He is also one of Biden's most ardent supporters in Congress, voted with his proposals 100% of the time.
This is an interesting salvo for Dean to go off the reservation like this, who is he signaling to get into the race? Not Gruesome, that's not Dean's type. Is he thinking about forming an exploratory committee?? More to come.
Biden knows where all the skeletons are hidden, who is taking bribes, and keeps the money flowing. Biden is not the hopeless dementia patient he pretends to be, He is a ruthless chomo who will do anything and destroy anyone to benefit himself. And the swamp knows it, and loves him for it.
Afraid of whom?
Pelosi for example, who allegedly finances reelection campaigns?
And if such is the case, constitutional power to expel bad apple lawmakers is arguably nullified as a consequence of "follow the money" campaign funding.
"Article I, Section 5, Clause 2: Each House may determine the Rules of its Proceedings, punish its Members for disorderly Behaviour, and, with the Concurrence of two thirds, expel a Member [emphasis added]."
Rep. Dean Phillips is effectively saying what we already know, that we don't have a representative federal government to keep the mail moving imo. /semi-sarc
"Article I, Section 8, Clause 7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;"
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
Pelosi: "We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it." (non-FR; 6 sec.)
“Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature.” - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
Patriots, the bottom line is this imo. What is your threshold of “pain” for peacefully stopping unconstitutionally big state and federal governments controlled by bully, constitutionally undefined political parties, from oppressing the people under their boots?
The inevitable remedy for ongoing, post-17A ratification, corrupt political party treason (imo)...
All MAGA patriots need to wake up their RINO federal and state lawmakers by making the following clear to them.
If they don’t publicly support either a resolution, or a Constitutional Convention, to effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by amending the Constitution to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A), doing so before the primary elections in 2024, that YOU will primary them.
If the proposed amendment was limited strictly to repealing 16&17A, relatively little or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification of the amendment imo.
With 16&17A out of the way, my hope is that Trump 47 becomes the FIRST president of a truly constitutionally limited power federal government.
In the meanwhile, I'm not holding my breath for significant MAGA legislation to appear in the first 100 days of new term for what may still prove to be another RINO-controlled House.
Trump will hopefully do another round of primarying RINOs for 2024 elections.
‘Won’t F***ing Say A Word’
It sure as hell it isn’t Biden they fear nor Obama who’s the money man with the power ?.
She really breaks up laughing near the end.
Biden is so obviously mentally deranged.
