They have flushed the one chip that they could negotiate with, guaranteeing to force Putin to take on NATO directly.

While he’s saying the quiet part out loud, we need to listen very carefully. https://t.co/l84guBiIsk— Mike Lee (@BasedMikeLee) March 1, 2023

Zelensky very clearly argues that America will have to send its “sons and daughters” to the war and they “will be fighting” and “dying.” Why? Because of “NATO.”

This is what he wants: Dead Americans on Ukrainian soil.

hmm, there's four NATO countries that already border Russia (the 3 Baltic State + Poland), and have for years, with a fifth (Finland) joining NATO soon

Russia never made a big deal about these before ... so this idea of being the catalyst for WWIII is just more bogus fear-mongering

Thank you Captain Obvious.

Now that Russia has accomplished turning Ukraine into one of the most militarized and powerful countries in Europe, Ukraine is a shoo in.

Russia is screwed. If they withdraw and end the war now, They’ll be paying reparations for decades or the sanctions will continue.

And if they don’t withdraw they are facing a bloody defeat, and will end the war even weaker and totally defeated. Russia will probably be facing a break up situation and a demand that they give up their nuclear weapons in order to relax the sanctions.

And who will be paying for Ukraine’s NATO membership?

“This is not going to end well for anyone.”

______

No, it is not. Not for anyone involved.

Can you imagine South American country leaders stating, “Beginning in 2024, we will allow Russia and their political partners to establish a military presence on the southern border of the U.S., including the possibility of nuclear weapons?” Having Ukraine join NATO is about the equivalent.

The U.S. and NATO seem to be doing everything possible to escalate this war. The U.S. should be the “elder statesman” encouraging some type of settlement between Ukraine and Russia that both parties can live with. Instead, the U.S. and NATO seem to be wanting to agitate the situation, all while demanding the U.S. taxpayers send more money to the region. Money and weapons are being sent that we seem to have no interest in tracking nor making sure are actually used for the purposes given. There is absolutely zero accounting for our support dollars.

This entire endeavor is turning into a major cluster-f&&k!

From the article: Do you really believe the United States would be okay with Russia establishing forward military bases in Mexico or Canada? Why should Russia permit U.S. and NATO military bases on its borders?

That is something I have repeatedly asked the neocon, Russian-hating numbskulls here.

Maybe if Putin was not set on restarting the CCCP this would not happen. Except that would mean treating Putin as a world leader responsible for his decisions. Why bother with that?

No, it will not end well.

The US and NATO gave Russia assurances that they would not encroach or expand into Ukraine, and Putin was very clear that that was a Red Line not to cross. Appears his fears were well founded.

Gotta fan the flames of war. This is big reason why this conflict started in the first place. Nato bases equal nuclear missiles on Russia’s border.
