Elizabeth Taylor was an intelligent and sizzling goddess of the silver screen in The Golden Age of Hollywood. (Please click the red link below the above title for word art and prose showing and examining how appealing she was.)
Marriage liberated her sexually.
She wasn't perfect.
She was human.

Hollywood has been a cesspool of sexual infidelity almost from its inception. The Hays Code and the Catholic Church kept most of the immoral behavior off the screen from the early 1930s into the 1960s but fan magazines and the popular press highlighted the divorces and extramarital affairs of Hollywood stars and wannabes. Even actors who were politically conservative, like John Wayne and Gary Cooper, were promiscuous. There was also a large number of homosexuality, most of whom were publicly discrete, but whose preference was well known in Hollywood yet tolerated.
In the 19th Century, actors were considered moral pariahs, hardly respectable in polite society. Perhaps the Victorians were more perceptive than their descendants.

I admit to being moved by the performances of many actors, and enjoy their work. But with few exceptions, I put them in the same category as I would court jesters.

The only man she ever met and couldn’t seduce was Montgomery Clift. He was homosexual.
She was definitely the marrying kind. As an actress, I thought she was kinda meh.

No, not satire. Ignorance. Any fool that touts promiscuity as "freedom" is ignorant. Look what that philosophy has gotten us. It has eroded our foundation so much that America is imploding.
#40 on the list of Communism's Goals for America: Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

My wife and I have been married 48 years. We have both only been with each other. She is the love of my life and our relationship seems to be growing since we both know life on earth doesn’t last forever and we cherish each day more than we did years ago.
I think she realizes that I will probably go before her and she doesn’t want to be alone. We have 3 daughters that live close by so it won’t be that bad.

I’m not sure Debbie Reynolds appreciated that freedom when Liz stole her hubby from her other than allowing her daughter Carrie to crack jokes about decades later.

Elizabeth was like a dog in heat and lapped up that lie with a vengeance. No, I don't think that the leftists had already established enough control over America at that time to ascribe Taylor's profligacy to them or their "agenda."
Can't say what was responsible for it. The "usual" explanation (hard childhood, abuse, drug addiction, etc.) doesn't "pull."
Maybe she was simply a forerunner of the general Hollywood trend.
