This is hysterically funny because they were the ones who brought Trump into it in the first place. Don’t forget that Pete Buttigeig - he’s gay, you know - immediately blamed Trump and his policies for somehow having caused the derailment.
Pete - he gay, you know - is probably one of the stupidest Biden officials - but he’s gay, you know - and thought he could get away with this because, after all, who doesn’t realize that Trump is the source of all evils. And East Palestine went overwhelmingly pro-Trump in every election, so therefore the town shares in the blame and got what it deserved.
But it’s like saying the magic word and having the genie come out of the lamp. They mentioned Trump and naturally he’s going to appear, and now they’re in a panic. But that’s ok, because Pete’s gay, you know.

The ECP braking rule would’ve applied ONLY to HIGH HAZARD FLAMMABLE TRAINS. The train that derailed in East Palestine was a MIXED FREIGHT TRAIN containing only 3 placarded Class 3 flammable liquids cars.
This means even if the rule had gone into effect, this train wouldn’t have had ECP brakes.

Yup. As if they’d be able to get through all the different channels and get a statement out in a couple minutes, as if everybody was waiting for Trump to post 🙄 More likely Trump got word of the action before hand and preemptively posted.
Whether Trump ends up goes now or not don’t think the people of E. Palestine won’t notice that his announcement prompted action by the WH to help them. That Biden denied Federal aid is appalling and the will never forget that.
