COVID-19 vaccines are now included among the routine shots recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for children, adolescents and adults.
The 2023 list includes shots for the flu, measles mumps and rubella, polio, and other inoculations. The vaccine schedule represents the current recommendations for people as a regular part of their vaccinations against common infectious diseases. It does not mean the CDC is requiring a COVID-19 shot for children or that schools will have to require that students receive the shot before enrolling.

In 2019 I had Shingles. It was unpleasant, but I think it could have been a lot worse. I’ve heard horror stories. Afterwards, it seemed like a good idea to get a Shingles vaccine so that I wouldn’t have to go through another bout.
But I do not trust doctors anymore.
Shingles shot?
Flu shot?
Any shot?
I would not put it past these people to slip in a COVID vaccine “for my own good”.
I’m skipping the Shingles shot and all other vaccines because I don’t trust ‘em.

Yes. I’ve considered getting the shingles vaccine but have put it off. You can say I’ve lost ‘trust.’
How many of the relevant state and federal authorities will jump in line behind the CDC? We are about to find out.
Had full blown shingles in november 2019 pre covid and yes it was bad. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
As soon as I recovered and could I got the Shingrix vax. Good for 4 years with 97% effectiveness.
But now......I’d have to reassess.

I just has Shingles for the second time. The first time was in the 1980s and suffered through it. This time I was prescribed Gabapentin and Valacyclovir. The pain stopped within 24 hours and has not returned. The first time I had tingling at the Shingles site for well over a decade. I will take that over a shot any day.

Everyone knows dang well it will be required in many liberal hell holes. No shot, no public school attendance. The cec doesn’t “require people to be vaccinated” but in some states, hospitals won’t even operate on sick and dying petients unless the person has been vaccinated
It is just like the NFPA’s national electric code. They have no actual authority but nearly every regulatory agency in the country that does adopts their code. So the above statement is misleading.
The CDC needs to be shuttered. Americans are safer without it. They lack all credibility and have become an anti-pattern. Do the exact opposite of what they say.
Tell your doctor that you want to see the vials of vaccine before the syringe is filled. If they will not show you and fill the syringe in front of you, refuse the shot.

I’m researching what the chances of getting shingles but I can not locate those figures. I would bet that the chances of NOT getting shingles without the vaccine is about the same or lower as being vaccinated.
