Try Pure Talk. If you are a member of AMAC, a retired person’s organization, similar to AARP, you can get a monthly rate of $ 10.00 per line. Anyway, check out their website, we’ve had this phone service for 5 years now and love it. (Sorry to sound like their commercial. LOL)
“Business” indeed.
I use Mint, with their base data package of 4 GB per month. I’m almost always in a place that has Wi-Fi so data is not necessary. I’ve haven’t experienced any problems with voice or text services. For $15 per month it’s a pretty good deal.
Patriot mobile is your un cucked alternative
At times, I’ve done the two phone thing, and honestly it’s a pain. Phones take up pocket space, and you need to keep both charged which is another hassle. Ultimately, I decided on just using one phone (physical SIM for one number and eSIM for the other number). With android at least you can adjust your preferences on the fly (switching between the 2 numbers for texts, voice, data while always being able to receive calls/texts on both). It’s not without hiccups, though, especially if you travel internationally and the two SIMs vary in terms of data/text privileges
I carried two phones for about 5 years. It was a hassle. But it was necessity. I’m grateful to be retired and only keeping track of one, now.
second phone is needed for funny business,,,
I don’t like to use the phone these days. I don’t know which is worse—today’s voice mail or the party lines of the 1950’s.
If you are over 55 you can get unlimited 2 lines for 90 a month with tmobile. I tether through my openwrt router using Easy Tehter Pro and use one for full time internet in the office. I have seen nothing cheaper than the tmobile plan. The phones are about $150 for the entry level 5g phone. And where I am it is faster than any landline internet.
Verizon wireless has a product called One Talk. For $15/month you add the app to your phone. No contract.
You can use it to call text etc.
It has a separate number so you are all set.
Whenever I answer the phone for a suspicious number (which is rare anyway) I always inform the caller my phone is for personal entertainment only and any business must be done in writing or on person. They usually hang up.
I have a Google voice number which has reliability issues so it would be best to avoid for that reason alone. In the past year we replaced our Vonage voip line with an additional Ting mobile line as a home office phone line which has worked well.
Ting mobile has a nice plan called Flex. $10 per line with unlimited talk and text. Data is $5 per GB which is shared across all lines on the account. Have 5 lines and paying less than $60 a month (we don’t use a lot of data).
