“The European Parliament adopts a resolution for a special tribunal for Russian and Belarusian top military leadership, including Lukashenko.”
“Belarusian Parliament passed legislation to help eradicate the remaining political parties opposing the regime and switch the country to a de-facto one-party system.”...
“On Jan. 25, the Belarus parliament passed a bill “On political parties and other public associations,” imposing further restrictions on their creation and existence.
The bill raises the minimum number of political party members from 1,000 to 5,000 and requires that political parties’ founders are born in and reside in Belarus.
According to Belarusian state news agency BelTA, political parties may be disbanded “in the event of war propaganda, terrorist, extremist, and other activities prohibited by the law, activities that harm the state (or) public interests, as well as the receipt of funds and other property from foreign sources.”
The bill also proposes to “lift the ban on financing political parties from the central budget or local budgets,” said BelTA.”

1/ The Wagner Group is facing difficulties finding new recruits after suffering huge casualties in eastern Ukraine, according to reports. It’s said to be trying to find recruits in Central Asian prisons and possibly even merging with Ruslan Kadyrov’s Chechen forces.
2/ According to the brother of Paul Whelan, the ex-US Marine currently imprisoned in Russia, Wagner has attempted to recruit more inmates without much success. The prisoners are well aware of the use of their fellow convicts as cannon fodder and now mostly refuse to go.
3/ “Everyone else has a clear picture of what happens to prisoners who go to fight the Kremlin’s war in Ukraine,” David Whelan writes in his most recent update. He says that while in the last round of recruitment Wagner managed to recruit 115 men, this time only 8 joined.
4/ This is corroborated by the VChK-OGPU Telegram channel. A source tells it: “Where to get people is a big headache. There are already ‘crumbs’ coming from the zones [penal colonies], whom no one wants.”
5/ Instead, Wagner is reportedly looking to Russia’s large immigrant community and the prisons of Central Asia for new recruits: “The PMC is working with migrants, trying to bring people from Central Asian zones, including those with combat experience.
6/ “However, Central Asian mercenaries are the wrong way round. Instructors say they are not suitable. Only a large mobilisation and a decision to hand over ‘refuseniks’ to PMCs can help. And without a big mobilisation, even handing over the refuseniks will not be a saviour.
7/ “Who will find so many of them? And we need tens of thousands of people, with literally daily replenishment.”
It’s likely a sign of how bad things are now that the source says that a merger of Wagner with the Kadyrovites has been discussed.
8/ The source is doubtful that this would work, however: “It is really hard to believe in such a thing. The Kadyrovites have separate structures, the PMCs have separate ones. Everything is different.”
9/ “Many veterans don’t much like the Kadyrovites, the Kadyrovites don’t much like former criminals. But the main thing is that the styles of warfare are so different that they can’t be combined. And the Kadyrovites are a set of units, and Wagner is an army.
10/ “In short, there’s not even a clue as to how to combine them.”
11/ According to a VChK-OGPU source, Wagner’s leadership is concerned that the Russian government will try to reduce Yevgeny Prigozhin’s influence by “attempts to cosplay Wagner and breed private military companies”, ‘dilute’ its identity and steal its best personnel.
12/ However, Wagner intends to resist with its usual brutal disciplinary methods: “Wagner’s security forces are already saying that termination of the contract to switch to another PMC will be seen as treason, with all its consequences.” /end
And we need tens of thousands of people, with literally daily replenishment.

And there is the slaughter. Only by using TOS-1As can the count be equalized
321 tanks in total pledged to Ukraine in recent days according to a statement by a Ukrainian ambassador.
Kinzhal missiles are definitely difficult to shoot down.
If a NASAMs site (and possibly a HAWK site) is colocated with the target, then the NASAMs would have an excellent chance of shooting the missile down.
If the Kinzhal missile is overflying the NASAMs site enroute to another target, then NASAMs has zero chance of shooting it down.
This is basic intercept geometry.
Patriots are part of the solution. They will perform much better than the NASAMs.
There has got to be a way to program the captured Shahed and have it attack its original launch site.
Or that is probably not worth the effort.
I agree and you can get the silver for your patriotic dedication to adding positive and meaningful content
My pleasure keeping you informed. Your side needs help.

It appears that an RU infantry patrol team return to their APC and discover it is smoking. As they stand around, trying to decide what to do...BOOM!
What I find amazing is some RU military personnel in Moscow have got to be reviewing these videos.
What they see are mobiks trying to advance across open fields.
Some are wearing snow gear while there is no snow on the ground.
Warm? Yes
Easy to see & target? Yes.
Easy to kill? Yes.
At least they were warm.
.
I note there were several anti-personnel artillery air bursts.
“321 tanks in total pledged to Ukraine in recent days”
The the US 1st Armored Division sports about 250 tanks.
All the Infantry fighting vehicles pledged seem to be multiple Brigades worth as well. I’m thinking of it as the Counter-Attack Corps.
"The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Russia will consider the supply of long-range weapons to Ukraine “a red line”."
Next up for the Ukraine - cluster munitions, for all the Infantry in the open.
@visegrad24 18h
Estonia has decided to send cluster munitions to Ukraine.
Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur says they were produced by Germany and that German permission will be needed.
Cluster munitions are very useful against the type of infantry wave attacks Russia has been using lately.
@The_Lookout_N 11h
“Ukraine isn’t a signatory to the Convention on Cluster Munitions. DPCIM would also be effective in the current fighting and alleviate some of the strain on supplying HE-shells. If stocks are available, send it.”

I bet Putin wishes he could get results like that.
