President Donald Trump has won the hearts of conservative voters across the U.S., and a series of new polls over the last few weeks can resoundingly prove it. On Tuesday, Trump remarked that “Despite the Fake News, which is out in full force, and our weaponized and corrupt legal system, the people get it!”

Ron DeSantis: 34%
Mike Pence: 8%
Nikki Haley: 3%

His comment captioned a graphic of the 2024 National Republican Primary poll that shared data from Emerson College, which found that among GOP primary/caucus voters, Trump held a whopping 26-point lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who has been recently touted as the heir apparent to Trump.

However, Trump leads DeSantis with 55 percent against 29 percent in that poll.

Updated primary polling trends from Morning Consult on Jan. 22 showed that Trump had seriously broadened the gap between himself and DeSantis, netting a 19-point lead over the Florida governor. To put this in perspective, Trump held an 11-point lead over DeSantis on Jan. 2, per their research, which means he gained eight points in less than a month among GOP primary voters.

In that poll, Trump held the lead among a field of potential GOP primary contenders with 49 percent of support. DeSantis garnered 30 percent, and former Vice President Mike Pence accrued 7 percent of the vote. Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, who has been making rumblings about potentially running for president, netted only 3 percent of support among GOP voters.

Trump also scored the lion’s share of potential GOP voters in a hypothetical 2024 primary race in a recent Economist/YouGov poll, which found that among Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents, 44 percent preferred Trump as the nominee, while 32 percent preferred Gov. DeSantis.

DeSantis has not officially entered the race for president at this time. However, RSBN previously reported that Trump had a simple response when asked by David Brody of “The Water Cooler” show on Real America’s Voice if DeSantis was making a poor decision in considering a 2024 presidential run.

“…I hear [DeSantis] might want to run against me,” Trump said. “So we’ll handle that the way I handle things.”

Exactly. Trump has announced that he is running. DeSantis has *not* announced that he’s running.

People trying to introduce division are part of the problem here.

Wake us up in eight months.

And that is four months ahead of the first primary.

Fun stories…but too early.

You’re right. He will.

Anyone else will add to the Swamp, so why support that?
