I like my Ruger 10/22. I put a Simmons 10/32 site on it and it is very accurate out to 100yds The rifle jams more than it should though. I’ve tried various types of rounds and mags but it still jams. Cleaning doesn’t make a difference either.
I don’t get putting a suppressor on a 22. It’s pretty quiet to start with.

If you ever get to try one you well say.
Why haven’t I done this before.

I’ve got a Win. 52 bull barrel that’s just over 14 lbs. without the scope. Don’t think a muzzlebrake is gonna do much.

Have you cleane3d it well? People are notorious about not cleaning the action of a 22. I am guilty myself. Also are you using genuine Ruger magazines?

Same here. The Ruger is a jammer.

My wife and I picked up some Magnum Research 10/22 lookalike rifles. Hers was 17M2. Mine 22LR. Mine was cutting the rim on the ammo. Lots of misfires. I acquired a replacement firing pin with a broader surface. Problem solved. 100% ignition, no cutting. Magnum Research discontinued support for the 17M2. They converted my wife's rifle with a .22LR barrel and matching bolt (slightly different mass for 17M2 vs 22LR) at no cost to me.
I have bolt action Ruger 22LR rifles with threaded barrel for use with the Ruger suppressor. Quiet. Perfect for rabbit hunting.

An adequately maintained 10/22 should not have problems with jams.
Maybe have a gunsmith look it over.
