This is a throwback TV show about a young family with two little girls and a little boy on the way. There is not one gender-deranged character in the whole ten episodes. Actually, there is a guy in a knitting group at the local cafe who probably is gay, but other than probably being gay nothing more is made of it and he is just another knitter who is nice to the newcomers in a small town.
Joe's lifelong dream was to become a game warden in Wyoming. There is backstory to why he that is. His wife has a law degree but has put her career on hold until the girls are old enough to go to school.
They have finally achieved their goal. Joe is the game warden for a remote county. He loves his job and his family, and they love him. He is a guy from an old movie. Strongly held principles. He became infamous for giving the governor of Wyoming a ticket for fishing without a license, as did the governor.
And just as everything is going exactly as they planned, his wife gets pregnant, stalling her plans to resume her career, but they quickly adjust and look forward to the new addition. The entire show is about affirming life.
It quickly develops into a mystery when a local whose guide license he had revoked...
I won't give away any more of the plot. I just gave away the first ten minutes.
It is a really good show. It is based on a series of novels. The character development and dialog are excellent, as are the production values. The scenery is fabulous. The story takes place in Wyoming, but the shoot took place in and around Calgary.
And the main character is a good old-fashioned decent man.
I highly recommend it.
“Actually, there is a guy in a knitting group...”
Kind of gives his lifestyle away. Just kidding.
Guys used to knit and sew, no one thought a thing of it.
Sort of like being a secretary. Two hundred years ago a female secretary would have been unheard of.
That was a man's job.

Please don’t tell anyone, but I’ve actually sewed something, once. But I swear that I’m straight!
Great show!!!!
Great show!!!!
My Friday night balley classes indicate nothing. Thanks for your understanding!

We all have our vices, so I’ll keep quiet about yours.
That was so funny and, even funnier is that it was lifted from real life.
The books are WAY better. CJ Box, author. See your friendly neighborhood Librarian.

My brother-in-law was a parachute rigger in the Army he sewed a lot, riggers also did the acft rigging too.
Ship servicemen in the Navy used to sew, were also cobblers and they Barbered.
Bosuns and signalmen sewed, marlinspijed, and did all the fancywork.
Y’all are weird.
Miller’s (AKA Black-Footed) Ferret.
That’s the one!

I knew a rigger once and he definitely had a hint of mint, so perhaps that’s why he was a rigger?

the joe pickett books give me insomnia, because i can’t put one down until i finish it ...
if you like adventure stories about the outdoor, dogs, horses, snowmobiles, hunting, outfitters, camping trips, pickup trucks, ner-do-wells, low-lifes, wealthy criminals, falconers, wildlife, small town sherriffing, and/or wyoming, then this series of books is for you!
I have read every single book in the series, and am waiting for the next one (Storm Watch) to become available. C. J. Box created an excellent series.
It’s called a typo. Only fags make a big deal out of them.
I wonder if Romanowski will show up.
Thank you, we’ll check it out!
