CDC stands for "Centers For Disease Control And Prevention." And one of the diseases that CDC now seems want to prevent is the disease of being unwoke which is why it recently issued a detailed guideline titled "Preferred Terms for Select Population Groups & Communities."
The new woke terms they have chosen to replace the old unenlightened (in their opinion) words are often hilariously awkward, unnecessarily lengthy, and downright absurd. Here is their description of the CDC Newspeak aka "non-stigmatizing language."

Reminds me of something I once overheard in a diner. A customer asked the waitress, “What is the boneless pork chop?” to which she cheerfully replied, “It’s a pork chop without a bone.”

They should be absolutely ashamed they used the world “people.” What if a person identifies as a dog like our DOE Nuclear Waste guy? Isn’t “people” offensive to him? They should use “Sentient Protoplamous Blobs.” Except not many on the left are sentient, so that’s out.

And it reminds me of the time, back in the 70’s, when I ducked into a courtroom in Bermuda, to escape the rain. A trial was in progress. When I was a young Environmental Health Specialist I read the book about the first major Ebola outbreak “The Hot Zone”. I thought about wanting to work for the CDC. So glad I did not because I went on their website a few years ago and saw they are about everything woke. Not about Public Health but about wokeness. I vomited a little in my mouth. The leftists have infected all our departments of government.
