Jacob Sanchez made an everlasting impact on his students and loved ones.
SAN ANTONIO – His playful, easygoing personality made him an easy pick to be a student’s favorite coach.
But 35-year-old Jacob Sanchez was also an inspiration, a leader and an innovator that made him so likable to those he worked with at Devine Middle School.
On Thursday, Sanchez collapsed at the start of class and staff members conducted CPR.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office reports he died of a heart attack. On Friday, the Devine community gathered for a vigil before the start of school and school counselors were available to help students cope.
Principal Kandi Darnell was with him just minutes before he collapsed.
“He seemed fine and everything seemed fine,” she said.
Darnell has known Sanchez since he was a student himself and said he really shined as a teacher.
“He was a kid’s teacher, I’ll put it that way. He took time out to connect with the kids,” she said.
Sanchez’s wife Rebecca Powe issued this statement: “My honey was the light of our lives. He kept our family on our toes, constantly going, and always laughing. We shared a beautiful life together He loved us with his whole heart and loved his life. He was dedicated to the community of Devine and the kids were his motivation every day.”

Yes, I remember your talking about your HC background.
So sorry for the personal losses.
I can’t even begin to imagine the things that you have seen.
It appears Mr. Adams, the teacher in the story at your link, was 59, an age where a heart attack is not abnormal. A heart attack at age 35 is not normal. It is interestings and catches ones attention when there is story after story of people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s having heart attacks. Also when they seem to be people who are active in sports and healthy. It may turn out they he was a cocaine or other type drug user and that weakened his heart. However, his picture showed a healthy looking young man.
The reason there are stories on these types of deaths is because it is not normal to have so many young men dying of heart attacks at a young age. Yes, it does happen, but now it is becoming common place. Documenting these stories is important so we can look back and see the history of the story on Covid 19 vaccines developing.
If it is not an area of interest to you, just skip those articles and move on to something else. No one will be offended if you do so.
Yes
Also, why have you been holding these obits back from us?
WTHeck kind of question, is that?
Perhaps you can do the same research that polynikes has.
As an aside, the hat he’s wearing is from the Albuquerque Isotopes minor league team.
No doubt. /S
I was wondering about that... I thought it had something to do with his being a science teacher. That was the local baseball team in The Simpsons I think.. Isotopes...
35 is the new 75
Cheer up!
In another year or two, people NOT dying will be worthy of news articles.
Tragedy Strikes:Covid-19 Vaccine linked to 630% increase in Excess Deaths among Children in Europe
I’m booked up doing the Health ping lists of all the studies with useful stuff to keep living.
We need multiple people to do “Death” ping lists to help with knowing useful stuff to die from.
I’ve been studying genealogy recently and I’ve noticed that a lot of local newspapers used to publish birthdays... maybe we’ll go back to that... in the spirit of ‘congratulations, you made it to 30!’
Yes. Before Mark Steyn had two heart attacks of his own, he was covering this on his show in the UK frequently. In the UK there have been adverse judgements for vaccine injury.
Yes, but it became real life a few years back.

Exactly.
The Albuquerque MiLB team is actually named after The Simpsons team.
Publish the science papers, the opinion pieces, but individual people dying in a nation of 330 million?
The fact that no one seems to be interested in investigating “sudden death” in people of low risk category does justify some skepticism on the part of us “anti-vaxers”.
Which is funny because it’s not a vax, thus being anti Jab is not anti vax.
