I have always thought he had the, “Just for Men” look for haircoloring. Every one of the men featured on the boxes seem somehow oddly effeminate. That is McCarthy.
If it is true that he is “compromised”, he wouldnt be the first GOP house leader with that problem. Bob Livingston, designated to succeed Gingrich, stepped aside after being accused of infidelity, and Hastert went to federal prison for molestation.
Do the powers that be - the lobbyists and big donors - prefer having congressional leaders who are compromised and can be quietly pressured to do their budding?

One of Trump’s strengths was his relative immunity to allegations like this. His past was already an open book - Democrats couldn’t play the “gotcha” game effectively. They tried to do it with tax returns, instead, and he played them masterfully.
If that was true about Gaetz, he would have already been destroyed by...take your pick...

The track records of various “devout Catholics” makes me suspicious of “devout Catholics”.
When Dad was a very young aviation cadet in the Navy he did his share of carousing but was the designated driver of the day. His “devout Catholic” friends made him pledge to be sure to get them in for Sunday mass after a night on the town. Dad was good for his word and no matter how drunk they were he made sure his “devout Catholic” friends were propped up in the back pew for Sunday morning mass.
Such stories have slanted my views. There are also “devout Christians” so there. Religosity when worn on the sleeve is mostly a distraction of something else. You can usually spot good people by how they live and not by what they claim.
I vote no on Kevin, always have. He wants the job too much.
