If I was not a congresscritter, and got the Speaker gig - I’d never show up for anything and just wait for the impeachment and removal. Constitution does not require anything else.

I could not begin to know what is happening behind the scenes. I can only assume it is not nothing.
At some point, things will change. Patience is a good thing just now, and certainly nothing terrible will happen with Congress hashing things out. There is no emergency since the prior Congress, including the Minority Leadership, allowed the budget to pass taking us an additional 9 months.
I would say an unofficial deadline should be in say, 8 months.
More like a circle jerk with an ever-changing pivot man.
