The signs of the new Andromeda strain of the Wuhan virus are excessive ear wax, strong urge to urinate when getting out of bed in the morning, growth of hair and finger nails and flatulence after eating beans. If you have any of these symptoms put on three masks and put your undertaker on speed dial on your cell phone.
***Loss of smell and taste, high fever and breathlessness were regarded as the ‘classic’ symptoms when COVID***
I remember these symptoms over 70 years ago, long before Covid was a word. We called a cold or flu. Some were mild, some put you on your back in bed!
I had Pfizer + 1 booster, actually against my physician’s advice. I succumbed to employer pressure. I will not go for more and think anyone who does is ill advised. My physician is willing to prescribe ivermectin, et al. I did pre-med with her back in the day, and she was in my wedding. Somehow, I became a CPA, and she became a physician. She has shifted to concierge medicine, which I think is great.
I did not sleep one minute last night. I’m at work now and don’t even feel tired. I hope I crash tonight.
Yes, taking that dose of Quercetin, zinc, and all the other recommended stuff. Hasn’t had the best effect on my ulcerative colitis, however.
I got it for the first time 2 weeks ago. No jab. I had a lot of soreness in the upper legs, but all the other symptoms were mild. I didn’t take anything except Tylenol for the leg aches. Now I just have a lingering cough but that’s no different from past colds/flus. It should probably go away in another few weeks.
The intense covid-related pain in the legs (thighs, for me) is most definitely distinct from aging pains. If it was aging, why has the pain disappeared now, two weeks later? I’m not younger.
You were lucky if acetaminophen helped the leg pain. It didn’t me. Neither did naproxen, AT ALL. I do remember flu episodes decades ago with similar intractable thigh pain, so it isn’t unique to covid.
In Jacksonvill Fl they’re calling your symptoms “The Jacksonville Crud”......my brother had it for almost 3 weeks as th cough stuck around....he’s just now getting past it all.
Sounds like the flu
Well Jane I’m into the 3rd winter and thus far no covid, colds or flu......hope to make it past this year too!
Yep. Gotta walk around more.
The curse of this age is that most jobs involve a lot of sitting down.
Yeah the thigh pain is pretty par for course. Acetaminophen would help for maybe 3 hours. Then I just endured it for another 6 until I could pop another couple of pills. Don’t want to put too much strain on the liver.
Friend of mine died recently.
Thank God he was vaxxed otherwise it would have been a ton worse... 👎
Talk to a physical therapist.
There are a number of stretches you can do to get your movement back in your hip without pain if it’s not a degenerative bone.
I was laid up and I started having things like encapsulated shoulders because I wasn’t moving around much, and then I had a hip twang on my left hip. I’ve been doing PT now for about 3 solid years and a lot of that is greatly relieved. I still do the PT.
Acetaminophen doesn’t really work. Even if one is on blood thinners, as I am, ibuprofen is a risk worth taking. Unless of course you are regularly getting cut. or getting beat up.
“This virus is so talented and can do so many things”
It should manufacture a whole bunch of graduate degrees among its many skills!
