I read that book over a half century ago, and we’re still here.

If every man, woman and child on earth lived in the state of Texas, even after excluding 25% of Texas' land mass for wetlands and mountains, and another 10% for use as roads and highways, not only would there still be room for all to live in 2500 sq. ft., 5-person,
private homes (on admittedly very small building lots) it still wouldn't break in to the top 50 most densely populated 'cities' on earth.
That is how "overpopulated" we are.

Obama’s Science Czar, John Holdren, co-wrote the Malthusian Textbook, “Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment” with Paul Ehrlich. Here are a few of their prophetic predictions…
1968: “The battle to feed all of humanity is over. In the 1970s hundreds of millions of people will starve to death.”
1970: “In 10 years all important animal life in the sea will be extinct.”
1971: “I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000.”

This is their basis for killing off millions via bogus scare mongering schemes via “health care”, “climate change”, etc.

pfffft population bomb... very few understand how insignificant we really are. Go for a walk in an ice storm, fall into an cold body of water... fall down and break a leg out in the woods.
Life is fragile, humans are too proud to admit it.
One tiny cosmological fart would put a stop to just about everything we are familiar with.

I have to confess that I actually bought into Ehrlich’s BS when it first came out. The simple truth is that absolutely nothing that he predicted happened. He needs to be retired to an elder care center.

Malthus was wrong in 1799.
Ehrlich was wrong in 1968

We were told to read The Population Bomb in college. It was a big deal. We believed it. Now I use my copy to show the grandkids that “experts”like this are wrong more often than not. And now that I’m in my 70s I think these putrid people wanted to tear down Western Civilization ……just as much as they do today.
