With the red trickle behind us and the 2024 general election less than two years away, Republican voters will be faced with three options, like it, or not. The option a majority of GOP voters choose will be pivotal in both congressional elections and the election of the next president of the United States, as well.
Those options are:
The correct option is #3, of course, whether we like that, or not. Republicans can continue to claim voter fraud and rigged elections until the proverbial cows come home. But the reality remains, as we’ve seen countless times, claiming massive fraud and proving massive fraud are entirely different propositions.
And here’s an extra tip, free of charge: If you hate the explosion of early voting — you shouldn’t — and the growing number of mail-in ballots, you must win a majority of seats in a majority of state legislatures before you can change anything about it. Otherwise, you remain stuck with option #2.
As reported by Just the News, new Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Brian Schimming has said in a number of interviews over the past week that he wants to focus on early voting and raising money ahead of the spring ’23 election. Wait a minute. Does Schimming sound like a Democrat? Yes. Does sounding like a Democrat make Schimming wrong? No. Why not? Because if the Republican Party doesn’t learn to play the Democrats’ election season game, Republicans will continue to lose close elections. Reality bites, huh?
Schimming, unanimously elected as Republican Party Chairman on December 10, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel he’s focused on building Republican infrastructure and looking ahead to the April election.
I don’t do change just for change’s sake. I don’t go to knock over furniture just for the heck of it. But I’m sending the signal not only internally but externally that if it works we enhance it. If it doesn’t work, it goes.
In another interview, Schimming made a similar pledge about his motto as GOP chairman:
I’m not here to milk sacred cows. And, if it’s working, we enhance it. If it’s not working, it goes out to the curb.
In reference to doing a better job of getting early votes, Schimming said:
We can’t keep walking into Election Day 100,000-200,000 votes down and expect we’re going to make it up in 13 hours between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Exactly. As Albert Einstein wisely admonished, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. I might add that if you continue to play stupid games when new games work better, you continue to win stupid prizes.
The Bottom Line
As I reported in a Christmas Day article, Republican political strategist Karl Rove argued in a Wall Street Journal column that it’s time for a generational leadership change in both parties. Brian Schimming is a perfect example of what new leadership — and new ideas — should look like in the Republican Party.
Needless to say, the usual crowd chose to attack Rove in the comment section, rather than objectively debating his argument. That kind of thinking is not dissimilar to the Titanic band continuing to play, after the “unsinkable” ship hit an iceberg and began to slip beneath the waves.
Let us hope that the same band isn’t playing on the deck of the USS 2024 Presidential Election on November 5, 2024, as the one we have now.
The GOP isn’t going anywhere with the Senate ‘leadership’ of Mitch McConnell.
McPOS believes in two things:
1) Being the bagman or ATM machine of international finance.(Rove approves)
2) Being an anti MAGA dickhead.(Rove approves)
McConnell is a loser & a sucker.(Rove approves)
Sorry but the GOP isn’t going to win by “getting out the vote”. That no longer matters. It’s who manipulates the number of ballots counted that wins.

Rove didn’t write the article, and the article is right, to a point. We can’t fix the cheating and stealing while the Democrats and GOPE are in charge. And they will stay in charge if we keep playing the new game by the old rules.

Oh...and buy him a cup of coffee and insist he scroll through that twitter sequence while drinking the brew, and ask what he thinks by the time he's done with his drink.
The NCGOP Chair is a devout RINO lobbyist so I don’t expect him to change anytime soon.
To promote a trendy approach, the party chair is glossing over reality here in WI. Which I summarized in the FR thread about the twitter feed you mention:
----------------------------------------
The corruption is NOT insurmountable, though the Left would love you to think that.
We in WI already have a very red legislature.
We flipped another of our Congress seats this cycle - only 2 D seats left.
We have a good chance to flip the US Senate seat now in D hands during 2024 and Johnson just re-won the other for another six.
We are a red state, generally. Except for the 2 corrupt pockets mentioned in the tweets.
Significantly ironic.... Trump probably cost WI four more years in our quest to become Florida North. We are as pissed as PA and GA. That plus the now less hopeful corruption reform near term... is going to hurt the one who caused it the most - Trump in 24.
With an R gov we certainly WOULD have cleaned things up quite a bit BEFORE 2024. Now we can't. Trump screwed himself in WI by reflexively opposing Pence's better gov choice.
SuperDon clobbers FutureDon - again!
I would like someone to explain why some people think in person voting is bad when it’s before Election Day. This argument never made sense to me.
Have fun with your new choices that aren’t Trump.
It should be very entertaining..... get a bowl of popcorn entertaining.
We in WI already have a very red legislature.
**********
That won’t do anything, like every other ‘bought and paid for’ red legislature.
But hey, having hope keeps dreams alive.
Only God can save us.
I believe our side thinks of it as good. And right.
It's just that some have been convinced we can't go back to it. Which is loser talk.
Nothing wrong with leveraging early voting while / where it exists. But in-person voting is better and should be emphasized where R party has control.
Why should I trust my mail in ballot gets counted and saved?
Democrats outnumber Republicans in the electoral states that matter. Universal mail-in balloting with the ability to harvest those ballots ensures the Rats will win elections in perpetuity.
And every year, millions of illegal aliens are registered to vote (registered as democrats, of course).
This provides incentives for the welfare leaches to vote themselves the Treasury.
Societal collapse is coming. And when the USA goes down, the rest of the world is going with it.
IMO having a few days before voting day for in-person voting is a good thing. There are times that family emergencies, business travel, etc fall on voting day itself. Being able to vote in-person a day or two early is good.
The only caveat is that the early voting should be:
1) limited to in-person voting only - no mail-in ballots accepted
2) early in-person voting period should be only a few days - say 7 to no more than ten calendar days.
3) no early-voting at all on the day before voting day.
The real issue is mail-in voting: shotgun mail-outs, vote harvesting, voter database manipulation, mail-in ballots counted for weeks after voting day, etc. Mailed ballots should be restricted to offshore USA citizens and the certifiably disabled. Additionally if someone needs to use mail-in ballot, it must be requested in writing so a chain of custody is established.
Yep it’s a catch 22 until repubs with backbone are put into state legislative and governor’s positions. Governor shouldn’t really be a requirement but it seems the SC doesn’t want to read the plain as day part in the constitution that says state legislators are in charge of elections. Either that or no one’s brought the properly formatted case and instead went off on overly specific tangents like server raids in Germany or meh Dominion.
2020 election rules were changed by election boards, Secs of State, governors and one state supreme court judge, all of which are unconstitutional.
Repubs working at the local and county level also need to tech up and participate so they’re able to prevent or quickly overcome what happened in Maricopa. Realizing days after the fact that 20 inch ballot images were printed on 19 inch paper doesn’t help.
Meanwhile, how many races are 51D/49R and could be swapped to 49D/51R if repubs did the GOTV thing and utilized early and mail in voting?
win by “getting out the vote”. That no longer matters. It’s who manipulates the number of ballots counted that wins.

Which is why voting is now pointless - ballots can be preprinted, harvested, and so on.
Any vote cast by a real person, becomes just another ballot to be counted or not, discarded or not. Just make whatever number of ballots it takes to win the predetermined outcome.
Where's our billionaire to design and build Open Source voting machines? We're relying on overly complicated machines designed and built by the left.
How many repubs working elections have even read Dominion's manuals?(before the election)
104 pages of tech stuff. We live in a tech world. We need to learn tech or get left even further behind.
Join in a citizen-led effort to ensure the accuracy of our nation’s voter rolls using IV3.
Almost every state in the country provides voters with a way to help improve the accuracy of their county voter rolls. How? By registered voters submitting potentially ineligible records for local review through a process often referred to as a voter challenge.
CO status - coming soon.
