Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine
ORYX ^ | Since February 24, 2022 and daily | ORYX

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Celebrating death on either side is abhorrent. They are all someone’s sons, husbands and fathers.

According to an open-source intelligence analysis by Oryx, Russia has lost over 7500 tanks since it began its invasion in February.

“According to an open-source intelligence analysis by Oryx, Russia has lost over 7500 tanks since it began its invasion in February.”

ORYX has cataloged 1538 RuZZian tanks lost.

That article is from a month ago. I think the reporter meant 7500 piece of equipment in total when the article was written, not just tanks.

Total RuZZian equipment losses as of today is 8245.

Do you ever look at the quality of the sources you post, or is that not on the list of things to do handed to you by your boss?

A caller to the Art Bell show is more reliable than most of your sources.

They are all someone’s sons, husbands and fathers.

That is true. Putin should have chosen to protect the lives of his citizens, and prevent the murder, rape, and maiming of civilians in Ukraine but he didn't.

Cranked is on a roll today! Grayzone is run by Max Blumenthal, who even the left leaning Wikipedia says "is a regular contributor to Russian state-owned Sputnik and RT, and has been accused of spreading Russian propaganda"

Does that earn you an extra service of borscht?

... was shot down by the Ukrainian army in the vicinity of Bakhmut...

Perhaps BeauBo can post a graphic of the Bakhmut area.

If the aircraft was shot down by a MANPAD, then this is a clear indication that RU artillery is not able to cover the mobiks on the front lines.

Also an indication the UKR infantry are doing an excellent job of holding their positions.

Well, plastic tends to get brittle and weaken in cold temperatures. Also, icing is an issue with aircraft that would be worse in cold weather so that could add to the problems.

I'm guessing that airframe ice is not the problem. My guess is carburetor icing.

The drone is powered by a MD-550 piston engine. The system spec says the engine has 4 diaphragm all position carburetors, without choke. Here's a pic:

Airframe icing requires visible moisture. Carb ice does not.

Carb icing is just a guess.

“Harsh Weather May Delay Germany’s Plans for First LNG Terminals”

From the article:

“But we are still confident that we can finish the construction of the project this year.”

Bottom Line: Only a tiny bit of delay, especially compared to the delays we have seem with the Freeport LNG terminal in Texas.

A friend owned a small plane. 4 seater. We flew it from Phoenix to Vegas back in the early 90s. Basically no instruments. We flew by sight along a freeway to get to Vegas. I’ve decided those small planes aren’t for me. Half way on the trip, I had to go to the bathroom. By the time we landed, I could barely walk as I ‘raced’ to the bathroom. Of course, when we got to Vegas, we couldn’t land immediately. Some Boeing planes had priority until it was clear for us to land.

You should have had one of these:

I have about 50 hours in a C-18 Beech. It had a "Relief tube". Here's a pic:

I am amazed that pilot survived.

Crop dusters pull a lot of Gs, especially when there are high wires at the ends of the field. Rolling Gs put the most stress on an airframe.

Over time, this would cause weakening (probably stress fractures) at the location where the wing connects to the fuselage.

I wonder what the aircraft inspection requirements are in Brazil.
