A tragedy. The Ukes could have been wealthy beyond belief between the EU and Russia. If they would have lost the corruption and signed deals with Russia AND the EU, dropped their corporate taxes to very low levels... they could have been the greatest middlemen of history.
But corruption, DC fanning the flames of Galician nazism, and the EU demanding exclusivity has killed untold numbers of people and destruction.
One General and about 300 men allegedly there to make sure military hardware is accounted for.

Well yeah probably so, because the Ukes had no ability to lose the corruption, and they are not to bright so they are easily inflamed by decades and century old grievances.
However I stand by the observation, had they looked at a map, noticed their geography between Russia, the EU, and out to the Black Sea. They could have easily decided to become some kind of free trade, low tax zone, crisscrossed with pipelines, power plants selling electricity, manufactured goods, agriculture, etc.
Had they done that and not aligned with Russia OR the EU, they could have become a Dubai or Singapore.
But like Poles, they are emotional and not super bright. Easily lead around by the nose by DC, EU, and WEF.
They coulda been rich. They went with Biden, child trafficking, graft, and sucking DC’s teat. Live and learn I guess.
The first casualty of war is the truth, no? Don’t expect to know what’s going on unless you, yourself have a network of trusted spies embedded in all facets of life over there. From the “front lines” to the backroom discussions,the civilians, to the militarists.
As of now, it appears to be a media presentation to us outsiders. Underneath, not so nice.
The idea, of course, is to weaken Russia while making mountains of money for the MIC. Like Saddam Hussein and Kuwait, Putin was given the green light to invade and he stupidly went. Something was planned here because Ukraine was in the middle of Trump’s first impeachment. It is a corrupt place, but I can’t blame the Ukies for taking the money that Washington gives them. Putin has been acting like Hitler, and I don’t feel sorry for him anymore than any other dictator who starts a war and invades a peaceful neighboring country. The Russian people need to clean house, but of course so do Americans.
It’s an unoffical world war. All the major powers are supplying Ukrainians with weapons and embedded soldiers.
Yanukowcyh dropped the deals with the EU in favor of making Ukraine a vassal state of the Kremlin, like Lukashenko’s Białorus.

Russia offered them a way better deal over the EU austerity without the Schengen part of the deal. And EU insisted on exclusivity. They could have played both sides easily as a free trade zone and gotten wealthy beyond belief. But the idiot Galician grievances are so easy for DC/London and Brussels to play.

In my opinion the war is all about maintaining the Petro-Dollar. Putin is leading the effort to challenge the Dollar as the worlds reserve currency. It’s the west against the BRICS.

What’s going on is everybody’s making a ton of money thanks to the American taxpayer and the Ukrainian people are getting screwed.
It still makes me wonder what the true story of the work the vindiman brothers at the national security council and the state department with the ambassador of Ukraine where up to that they had to accuse a sitting president of treason to keep their operation going? Is this the war they planned and wanted? Or was the money too good to pass up? They seem to get to scurry to rat holes and write face saving books and drop off the earth after their failure and is this war the damage control we have as a nation to bare for their actions? The press and the Congress did their best to cover for these government employees in their news stories and the Congressional impeachment but some how we are still funding this war and looks to be slow pushed into this mess.
I will likely be gone before the truth come out if this war is Trumps modern analog of Kennedy’s Bay of Pigs. We’re The background players in Washington were trying to change Ukraine in to a new regime that was for the better outcome and the president’s decisions keep them from doing that. Or flip the narrative and the president’s actions tried to stop a war they were trying to make happen.
It will probably come out (definitively) we where below water in $&@! With Ukraine and any action or decision was crap. As a former ambassador said, “what does it matter?,” as to who was involved we are here now.
I still want my pound of flesh if I’m being dragged with them.
