At the time I was so hot about having the election stolen I thought perhaps it really was time for a revolution. I’m still hot but revolution means death and destruction, perhaps someday that will be called for but I think there are ways around revolution.

I think Trump could have tried to go himself, and gotten up on some prominence to try to talk them down.
I know it can be hard to go against the secret service and their concerns for him, but perhaps he could have managed it.

After the speech, most of us just went home. Even those who "marched" on the Capitol did so peacefully. The whole insurrection narrative was a myth and anybody can see for themselves on the restored Trump Twitter timeline from that time period.
By shutting down President Trump's ability to communicate to the citizens as well as shutting down many of his supporters, the REAL insurrectionists - the ones who stole the election - were able to stage their little Reichstag Fire event.
It was all about jailing, silencing and cancelling those who would dare protest the stolen election.

I remember that video and how depressing that day was knowing they were finally going to get away with stealing the election. And then, they banned Trump or anyone that even hinted of Election fraud. Thank God for Elon Musk.
