With people all across the country afraid to walk the streets because of high crime, inflation at a 40-year high due to D.C.’s profligate spending, 13 U.S. service members blown to bits in Afghanistan and a hundred more injured while Afghans fell to their deaths as they frantically held onto the landing gears of departing aircraft, unknown people from all over the world, including terrorists, pouring across the southern border and a record number dead in the last 12 months, serious warnings about the possibility of nuclear war as North Korea resumes its nuclear program and ballistic missile tests that were suspended under Trump, China threatening Taiwan and humiliating the United States on U.S. territory, a president, the self-described great uniter, who, when he is not yelling at people or whispering like a psychopath in a “slasher film,” tries to shake hands with people who are not there, a vice president, Kamala Harris, whose most profound statement concerns her paean to her school-day memories of yellow school buses, the Republican Party cannot even come close to winning the usual number of congressional seats in an off-year mid-term election. Naturally, Republican “leadership” who began gloating early, never saw this coming.
Part of the many reasons for this spectacular failure is the excessive amount of help Republican “leadership” gave to the Democrats. Republicans have brilliantly supported the Democrat push for early voting and mail-in ballots that even Jimmy Carter’s commission concluded is ripe for cheating, and which the Democrats have used since the pandemic to defeat Republicans. Apparently, this never occurred to Republican leaders who went along with it all.

And most of them have been in office for the last 30 or 40 years.
But now they are going to ‘fix’ Washington.
If they know how to ‘fix’ Washington why didn’t they do it over the last 30 or 40 years- when things have gotten worse and worse and worse.

The “fix” is called term limits.
The Republicans were hell bent on losing. Where was the Republican leadership voices during the mid term campaigning? Afghanistan, deaths on the border, closing of keystone and drilling, Hunter and the FBI, supply chain, baby food production, rampant crime due to woke prosecutors, 2020 burning of America. I’m not talking about Republican pundits on FOX, I am talking about McCarthy and McConnell, NO fight whatsoever. McCarthy trots out with a little postcard , his “Commitment to America……and to this day, I have no idea what his tiny notecard, that held maybe three hundred words at best, said. Not one of them criticized Graham for his ridiculous comment about “if we win, abortion will be illegal in the US.” Did they come out as a group, condemning Rick Scott’s sabotage of “social security”.
Here in WV, voters resoundingly voted down four Amendments that the GOP controlled state legislature put on the ballot.
Today I heard a state GOP Senator say that new leadership is needed in order to better message their proposals. IOW, they (Republicans) need to find a better way to con the citizenry into voting for what they (politicians) want.
Politics is about money.
Big money.
We like to make our money by working hard and being smart.
If we want to make more money, we’ll, we work harder and get smarter.
The Democrats don’t think like that.
They think they can get ahead by just belonging to the Democrat tribe/party.
Current Republican leadership: Trump, McConnell, McCarthy, Rick Scott, Ronna McDaniel, Thune.
They all need to be replaced.
No Republican leadership—The RINO Republicans are really Democrat light and will follow any Soros Orders—as they did this time and in 2020. The biggest mistake was Trump not starting a whole new party—the GOP is too corrupted to be saved. Watch as MAGA is Banned along with Trump. But, they forget, its an idea—not a man.
They’re not worthless. They’re worth every penny to the democrats.
Trump is a private citizen. He is involved but he isn't in charge of squat relating to this .gov of ours.
Well too many Republicans concluded that Jimmy Carter couldn’t be right about anything. So, because he opposed it, they supported it. That is being somewhat sarcastic, but Republicans in former red states like PA did it because that is what their Uniparty masters bid them do. In short, Republican leadership wanted to let Dems steal elections. Follow the money from China to understand why.
No. But he’s regarded as the leader of the party. Ronna McDaniel is also a private individual.
Why? Because 'people say'? People say a lot of dumb sht anymore. Does it really look to you that Trump is in charge of anything republican?

Umm, she gets paid well to do their bidding. What is Trump getting paid?
These political party's are private organizations. Trump may still consider himself a member but he doesn't control it and fact is, he never did. The party certainly has never acted like they were controlled by Trump. They're out of control from my view.
What leadership?
I think he’s the leader. He thinks he’s the leader. The majority of republicans think he’s the leader. The Dems think he’s the leader. If he’s not, then who is?
That's like asking, who is in charge at the White House. We know it isn't pedoJoe. The list of possibilities is long. Who is in charge of the republican party? See same extensive list.
There is something to that. But the leader of the gop needs to be a visible leader. We cannot have secret leaders like the Dems do. I think it’s Trump. He’s a former president. He was undoubtedly the leader when he was president. He’s the front runner for the nomination. His congressional picks were mostly nominated. If he’s not the leader, then that’s a sign that he’s abdicated.
He will (re) assume that roll when/if he wins the 2024 primary. I'm not sure it will do him/us much good but there it is. The republican party is hanging out there somewhere in left field. I don't think they can find their way back to the dugout.
I agree, the failure of the Republican Party is caused by the highest profile most influential members of the party - Elected Republicans.
They do not fight, they do not battle the Left, they are too timid. They are basically assistant democrats, it’s funny that they call themselves Republicans. 80% are simply RINO’s or establishment do nothings..
