Mayo Clinic has declined to consider a kidney transplant for an unvaccinated woman with stage-four kidney disease, she told Alpha News.
That woman, Amy Broten, received a letter Nov. 1 informing her that her kidney transplant evaluation was denied.
“You have medical issues that need to be stabilized and/or improved prior to evaluation. The medical issues include: patient not willing to comply with the transplant team immunization requirements and recommendations,” the letter says.

I’m glad I had my transplant in 2014. Although, if I need another one someday, I stupidly got the J&J. Thankfully, my nephrologist will vouch for me and say that boosters aren’t on the table with the reaction I had to the first one.
She needs doctors who will do the same and good lawyers to fight the fact that those shots are ALL still EUA only, as the Comirnaty isn’t available in the USA (last I knew).
I really don’t know how much of this is true. It’s a he-said she-said at best.
The letter does not specify COVID.
I can kind of see them rejecting based on ANY vax discrepancy. These requirements are pretty strict. If they decided COVID shots are part of the needs, well, they’re part of the list.
She could be DQed because she didn’t have tuberculosis shot, or shingles shot. Or rubella. And mumps, etc.
These transplants are hard to come by so most are likely going to be held to strict standards.
Message to the woman : either follow medical protocols or go transplant your own kidney. No one’s stopped you.
This is correct. I have a very good friend who was just released from the hospital today from having a kidney transplant. He had to be fully vaccinated, and he quarantined for about two weeks at home prior to the surgery. They have to “nuke” your entire immune system when doing a transplant to keep your body from rejecting the transplanted organ. He has to take a LOT of meds post-release too, for awhile.
How about they are forcing her to violate her religious objection to the still-experimental clot shot as a condition of rendering a service?
I think you need to realize the depth of anger and hatred that will come about if the medical profession does not drop their position on this. Almost three years later the bullshit continues.
We are on the cusp of developing a move to a parallel medical system with parallel everything. The medical professionals who do not buy the narrative and do not buy what NIH/CDC/FDA are selling, and who are tired of the medical license hunting, are not going to stand idle.
Here’s what I am telling others. We are basically at war with this cv19 system. Get off the organ donor list and do not donate blood (unless it is in advance for your own surgery). We’ll develop our own system for the unvxd. It is going to happen. The current system is untenable.

The defense will be that highest level of immunosuppressant medications to sustain a transplant require vaccination against disease prior to transplant. If a patient is noncompliant they will not be listed. For a liver, for example, you must be alcohol free for one year of your diagnosis is alcohol induced liver failure.
The argument of the vaccination not being a vaccination will likely be as a matter of law not considered.
While I acknowledge the passion of both sides I don’t see a lawsuit as being successful for injunctive relieve to set aside the transplant rules and bypass someone who has it complied with vaccination schedule.
Probably the better argument is that covid as an endemic disease does not cause liver failure and illness with current covid variants have not shown disseminated viremia with death likely.
The lawsuit I presume would be for injunctive relief and I do not see that any monetary awards would be likely if death occurred as injunctive relief would be moot. There is not malpractice because covid vaccinations are arguably a standard of care.

In March of this year, my wife had a hip replacement.
Zero Covid shots for over a year and no boosters were needed.
The transplanted hip is of a one time use and made of various metals.
She received zero injections of pre=op antibiotics and came home the same day postop.
She had a home health RN and a PT starting the next day, daily for a week and then 3 times a week for a week.
Besides lightly sleeping in the same bed, I was very involved in her daily post op care.
She had zero post op infections, and I monitored her temps several times a day. We used a wrist bp monitor for about 2 weeks, several times each day. Her readings were excellent.
We used a temple temp scanner several times each day and she never had a fever. Her bp’s were normal.
She had dced all pain meds after 5 days.
She used her new Glide walker to leave the hospital on her discharge and daily since then around our home and on walks outside our home.
30 days post op, her ortho surgeon, told her he would see her in a year as she was doing great, Xrays and other scanning after the Xrays plus his hands on checking.
Her surgery was done at our big PIP/HMO.
Please learn to read. I asked a reasonable question and suggested a better path to the desired outcome of avoiding vaccination. As many unthread have said it is A stringent requirement for an organ to be vaccinated against many things.
But go ahead with your attacks. It is what you know. Maybe someday you could offer real intellectual discussion as opposed to comments of no substance.
