I think there’s a law that companies must give 60 days advance notice for mass layoffs over 100 people, or something to that effect. That’s what their lawsuit is about, that he didn’t give notice. But since Musk is giving them 3 months of severance pay, I don’t see the problem, but from a legal standpoint who knows.

He's got it nailed. They have been notified...and they will still be on the books for at least 60 days.

And by the way...there are exceptions to that rule and I'm betting it includes references to a change of ownership, maybe bankruptcy...and then there are the workers contracts.

England has a notice requirement and he is giving them some notice but he has royally screwed this firing up. Now he is saying oops..we need some of you back.
