The human clitoris is a scientific iceberg, both physically and figuratively.
In the past, research on our species' clitoris has been superficial at best, and even the tiny bit that we think we know now is not always right.
The clitoris is often said to house 8,000 nerve endings – 'double' that of the penis – but new findings, presented at a scientific meeting in October, suggest that's a serious underestimation of both sex organs.
The study is not yet peer-reviewed, but at least the results are on track to be properly scrutinized.
The numbers most often cited for the innervation of the glans penis and glans clitoris derive from old studies on – wait for it – cows; the results were simply co-opted for human anatomy.

The dear doctor cannot fathom the fact that there are differences in the anatomy of the males compared to females and that the two sexes are different. Yet he almost robotically parrots the need to for gender affirmation surgery. This doctor probably got zeros in his verbal aptitude tests. No new accurate information here but now that you’ve brought up the subject. The answer has always been, “It depends”. The actual number of nerve endings can vary in the same individual from nearly minute to minute ranging in number from absolute ZERO to something like a googleplex or more. The common age of maximum count is between 16 and 28 or marriage, whichever comes first.
In terms of just how cold it can become, absolute ZERO is not low enough to measure the magnitude. Deep space can be toasty warm by comparison.
Ovulation has been observed to swell the count to preposterous numbers with startling and earth shaking results. There are other unexplained events, even undiscovered ones, that can produce the same result. There is no certainty or reliability that the same positive count producing stimulus can ever be repeated. The desirable and keenly anticipated response is completely random and frustratingly elusive leaving many to abandon the project to pursue greener pastures or more fertile fields.

I think that is sick. I don’t think that knowing how many nerves are in a clitoris is worth the harm being caused by “gender-affirming” “care”.
Why would a woman want to have or allow her clitoris to be removed. Human women are the only animals that can experience an orgasm. Female dogs cats cows and pandas all do not have orgasms when mating or at any other time ever. It is truly a gift from God to human females.

WHAT? There is such a thing as a “society” for sexual medicine? Seems they have a North American and also an International group / society . The guy mentioned in the article with the magic number of nerve endings is a plastic surgeon who is on the gravy train ride for the trans fad being promoted nowadays. Seems to me that a lot of doctors must not have a conscience as they make a living performing mutilating surgeries on weak minded boys and girls? God must not enter there sphere of existence....
