Catturd ™ @catturd2 I admit when I'm wrong and I was 100% wrong about @elonmusk changing Twitter.
The new Twitter moderation council is just a bunch of far left fanatic groups who were never targeted here.
No average Joes, no real Conservatives, no one to represent the PEOPLE ACTUALLY TARGETED!

I think we need to wait a month or two to judge.
If restoring free speech to Twitter is Musk’s true goal, which I hope it is, the Left will naturally counter his efforts by creating a narrative that Musk is not restoring free speech, but rather, he is introducing his own bias to the platform.
If Musk acts too quickly, he feeds into this narrative. I believe that for this reason, Musk will want to cover all the bases.
One important “base” he needs to cover is the legitimate need to moderate certain speech - and there is speech that legitimately needs to be moderated. There is misinformation - not what the Left calls misinformation - but it does exist. There is speech which should not be allowed: threats, for example, calls to violence against people.
I think conservatives are getting so used to being falsely accused by the Left of misinformation, insurrection, treason, racism, denialism, etc.. that we sometimes forget there really is misinformation that needs to be corrected. There really is treason and insurrection that should be opposed. There really are calls to violence that should not be given a voice.
By signaling that he believes some moderation is needed at Twitter, Musk is triggering some conservatives to think that nothing will change under the new management.
I think this is wrong - what the Left calls “moderation” is really cancellation, censorship and propaganda. Let’s wait and see what Musk’s idea of moderation will be. Maybe it won’t be so bad.
Actually, Elon Musk responded to caturd directly related to the censorhip issue the day he took over Twitter. He's hardly irrelevant.
Elon Musk pledged to spend his first day as the official owner of Twitter trying to help a user named Catturd.

I guess we’ll know if Catturd manages to get the brown check mark he requested.
Newspapers have an information structure, sites like twitter and gettr don’t.
I like the Smart News that came with my old smartphone.
Not made yet. We only have a list of who he spoke to regarding this... that is what Catturd found disturbing... tweet below:

Replying to @yoyoel
Talked to civil society leaders @JGreenblattADL, @YaelEisenstat, @rashadrobinson, @JGo4Justice, @normanlschen, @DerrickNAACP, @TheBushCenter Ken Hersch & @SindyBenavides about how Twitter will continue to combat hate & harassment & enforce its election integrity policies.
Just a shot in the dark here: Do you consider Sean Hannity one of the "Top Conservatives" you know?
Musk has replied to plenty of random irrelevant people, over the years.
He is not going to be dictator to by some random guy on Twitter, after spending a massive $27 Billion of his own money to buy Twitter.
Musk will not follow policies that will lead to Twitter going bankrupt.
I saw who he spoke to, buy then that is an incomplete list, and he is not going to take orders from a bunch of far left crazies.
He never has.
To be fair: I stopped watching and listening to Hannity for about a year now.. I got tired of his schmoozing with the likes of Graham and McCarthy, etc, DC swamp...( not to mention his repetitive quirks). That being said, during the Russian collusion hoax, him and Limbaugh were about the only ones out there with a big microphone who were going head to head against the nonsense.
“affinity groups”
Maybe have users self-identify as leftist or rightwinger.
Leftists would see all leftist posts, rightwingers would see all rightwing posts.
Both groups would see all posts that were up at least two minutes and not flagged (and up for at least five minutes and not flagged by at least 5% of their viewers).
Perhaps readers could set a personal uprate percentage. They would only see uprated posts that exceed their percentage. If it was 80%, they would only see the top 20% posts of a thread.
Well, it is a point in your favor.
I suspect the ghettoizing of Twitter is already full swing. I only see leftist accounts when they are retweeted by whoever I’m following or when I venture out on a topic thread. I suspect most people are like me and see what comes across the twitter feed from whomever they’re following.
Moderation is no virtue.
Of course. Under Gadde and Jack Dorsey it was just a platform to censor conservatives and promulgate a narrative that could best be described as “persuasive nonsense for idiots and left-wing Hollywood celebrities.”
Three names I’d like to see on the moderation council:
Jordan Peterson
Joe Rogan
Tim Pool
It’s like asking Freepers to read the articles before posting.
WHAT!? And ruin the discourse, discord, discussion?
