MADISON — Radical state Rep. Jonathan Brostoff (D-Milwaukee) suggested on Twitter last week that Republican gubernatorial candidate Tim Michels staged a break-in of a car to spotlight Milwaukee epidemic.
Michels’ video, in which he talks about the crime occurring while he was hosting a press conference in Milwaukee, has gone viral. And it’s all true — as Fox6’s Jason Calvi reported.
The vehicle hit was a rental car driven by a Fox6 producer.
“The bad guys are so emboldened, they’re like ‘I don’t care if there’s cameras around, people around, future governors around, I know I’m going to get away with it,'” Michels said.
Brostoff’s snarky tweet, which he has since deleted, highlights the break from reality Democrats have suffered on crime — a very big deal to the average Wisconsin voter.
The irony of the thug attempting to steal a Kia while Michels was holding a press conference with crime victims shouldn’t be lost on anyone has watched The Kia Boys Youtube video.
Gov. Tony Evers and his soft-on-crime allies are desperately trying to hide from the kind of “progressive justice” policies aimed at clearing out Wisconsin’s prisons. That includes some of the most dangerous felons in the state.
Voters are very concerned about crime, particularly in Milwaukee where the homicide rate is on pace to smash another record for murders — the third straight year. A new Marquette University Law School poll shows about half of Milwaukee residents who responded are concerned about crime in their city.
An Associated Press story last week headlined, In Milwaukee, Latinos fed up with crime weigh GOP appeal, underscores the growing frustration of traditional Democratic Party voters with violence and disorder in their city.
More appalling for anyone with a heart are the stories of children gunned down on city streets. Earlier this month, 12-year-old Olivia Schultz was shot and killed outside her home as the family unloaded groceries.
She was the 20th homicide victim aged 17 or younger so far this year in Milwaukee, and her death came within a week of separate shootings that injured another 12-year-old and a 2-year-old at a city park, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
Crime is on the minds of a lot of voters as November quickly approaches, and Evers and his fellow liberals who tied themselves to the defund the police movement just two years ago now want to talk about anything but crime and punishment.

Hopefully people don’t think lowering crime means putting the right people into state or federal offices. If crime is someone’s number one issue then he needs to focus on local elections.
I just read a news article that framed voters concerns about violence as “concerns about gun violence”..
Concerns about education were “concerns about spending on our schools”.
The gaslighting will only get worse as we get closer to the election.
Write in Trump Endorsed Adam Steen on November 8th!
There is NO Democrat on the ballot. Just Trump Endorsed Adam Steen running a write-in campaign against corrupt RINO WI Speaker Robin Vos.
Problem is, crime has become part of political correctness. That’s why democrats don’t crack down crime, otherwise they would lose election
Thank you! Yes, Vos needs to go!

“Radical state Rep. Jonathan Brostoff (D-Milwaukee) suggested on Twitter last week that Republican gubernatorial candidate Tim Michels staged a break-in of a car to spotlight Milwaukee epidemic. “
it worked so well that my sources tell me Michels will next be staging a home invasion ...
“Crime is a big deal for voters this election (Wisconsin)”
Does that include election crime?
