I consulted at a Hospital that did this crap 20 years ago .
Back then 65% of these mentally ill people wanted to
change back .
We told the facility to STOP doing this before your are sued into bankruptcy
and they did .
These people are just clinically depressed and nothing else .

In the case of teenagers I think it's the 'attention' the 'trans' people get that they crave. They see them as getting all kinds of special treatment and glad-handing from the adults in the education sphere and think that is what the rest of society is like. Then they follow thru with eir 'transition' and discover that it's not lik ethat at all, that NOBODY GIVES A SHIT what they think, say, or do.................
