But far less abrasive than the Joe Biden speech declaring the half of America that does the heavy lifting to keep this country running as enemies.
So, yeah, I can overlook a bad bedside manner to get this country competent medical help. And we need competent medical help. Much like the English town Portwenn in the Brit series Doc Martin.
Bingo! Abrasive, sometimes caustic? Certainly. Correct? Almost 100% of the time. I find it hard to find an instance where he was wrong..
More than anyone China Mitch sabotaged Trump’s first term.
“I think some Freepers don’t recognize how many Americans are repulsed by Trump’s personality, including his racism, and will not vote for him for that reason. I will abstain if he is the nominee but would vote for DeSantis, Youngkin, Haley, Cruz etc.”
Some random questions:
1. Would you, perhaps, share with us an example of Trump’s racism?
2. Being repulsed by his personality? Why is it that Biden’s personality, which is beyond repulsive, is not repulsive to many Americans? Does Biden’s personality repulse you?
3. Why did this writer not mention that raid on Trump’s home in Florida thereby elevating Trump’s dig at McConnell above that little piece of absolute tyranny. Did this writer condemn that raid with just a bit of the same venom he has directed at Trump?
4. Lastly, that you would vote for Haley and not vote for Trump is repulsive and brands you as an idiot.
He hates looters and folks who burn down stores in Portland and Seattle. See, he's a racist.
Are you mental?
What racism? Or is thast just something you mimic because you heard it on MSNBC or read it in NR?
Bravo!
Just so I can understand your position, can you give your definition of racism and then offer proof that Trump is a racist that has nothing to do with Elaine Chao?
Would you believe that Chuck Schumer has the same kind of personality characteristics as Trump? Have you ever observed the real Chuck? Bet you have not. There are millions more in NYC - it’s a NYC cultural thing - people say what they say and don’t filter it, and don’t give a damn what you think about their delivery.
I will admit that Trump’s “NYC personality” can be off-putting to millions of people. He is not a polished politician who is clever, hides their true intention, lies to the voters, and has a media / big tech empire covering for him etc. Not perfect by a long shot as we have been conditioned to expect our politicians to behave a “certain way” - we would rather be lied to in a pleasant voice saying the right words at the right time instead of being told the blunt truth harshly, unartfully.
Trump’s personality is not one to bring demonkkraps and RINOs together with GOP to support bipartisan legislation, or agree that certain things are a problem for our country (e.g. illegal immigration). Hey, they attacked him for being racist for enforcing US immigration laws that they themselves passed!
But you know, W pushed across a lot of pro-demonkkrap things, starting with Ted Kennedy movie nights at the WH and giving him billions for demonkkrap leftist education. W always seemed to say the “right words” and be nice to everyone, especially those who were slandering and libeling him 24/7. Yepp, look at how W was treated by the demonkkraps. Trump is a political response by people tired of the lies and destruction of the USA by the demonkkraps with the help of the assistant demonkkrap RINOs. That’s the reality. But human nature being what it is, millions don’t like to hear or think of unpleasant things. And we don’t like to accept reality. But one has to live in reality. There is no turning back.
” If we had listened to McCarthy and not to Welch, this country would be better off.”
The Birchers were right.
Trump is not a racist, and never was. That is a complete media smear, and I’m a bit disappointed that you fell for it. However, you make a fair point about Trump’s personality. He’s got too much Patton in him, and not enough Reagan. Such a mix is not appealing to the middle. And that’s where elections are won or lost.
A heavily-Patton part is good if you’ve got an Ike to protect you. Unfortunately, Trump does not have an Ike to protect him..
IOW Trump sounds like a typical Democrat whose voters are not repulsed by these types of remarks
Maybe Trump has a Death Wish. All the talk about “racism” and “decency” is beside the point. The guy tweets a lot of things without thinking and that will cost him if he runs again. I can understand that tweeting can throw the other side off balance and be a useful defense sometimes, but if it’s not controlled it hurts Trump with swing voters, and even more committed supporters can get tired of it.
Sometimes it takes harsh words and flipping over a few tables to get things pointed in the right direction.
Good post.
Swing Voters = Mindless idiots who need to be told what to think.
Good comparison of historical personalities. Recent readings of history, one of Eisenhower’s personality traits was that he was a kiss ass, also read that he would take credit for accomplishments of others. A real politician. On the other hand, what had to be done in planning and implementing D-Day was a phenomenal accomplishment. Patton was a field general, and Dwight was pressured to get rid of him for his abrasive personality - but he did not.
The GOP leadership should have acted as the Eisenhower for Trump, and especially when it became clear that the obozo spying on Trump and the Russian hoax was treasonous. But “no” they could not give him a piddly $8 billion for a border wall with their Congressional majority. Compare how much the demonkkkraps get through with a 50-50 Senate and a slim lead in the House. Compare how the demonkkraps play Eisenhower for Xiden, their Trojan horse, who recently sees dead people in the room. Trump is a reaction to the “corruption as usual” by our givernment. The current GOP leadership is incapable of leading and governing. Else they would be doing things so Trump would not have to be an army of one.
“I chose the username karpov because I am an avid chess player, and Anatoly Karpov is one of the all-time greats.” Why not Marshall, or Morphy?
The problem is the core GOP is diametrically opposed to what Trump stands for.
I don’t think he’s racist.
Rhe only other “Coco,” I know of was Coco Chanel, who was French.
