Dog (2002) Two former Army Rangers are paired against their will on the road trip of a lifetime. Army Ranger Briggs (Channing Tatum) and Lulu (a Belgian Malinois dog) buckle into a 1984 Ford Bronco and race down the Pacific Coast in hopes of making it to a fellow soldier's funeral on time. Along the way, they'll drive each other completely crazy, break a small handful of laws, narrowly evade death, and learn to let down their guards in order to have a fighting chance of finding happiness.—MGM

I watched this movie on Amazon Prime tonight a great movie. A good reminder that freedom don't come free and many continue to pay a price long after they have come home.

I really want to see it, I will probably cry and I worry if the dog lives.

‘Red Dog’ is a great dog story, somewhat based on a true one. Dog does die in the end, but only after a wonderful life that touches many people and becomes legendary:

One life lesson talked about in the movie is handing things over to a Higher Power. Turn it over to a high power and trust what is best will be done.
When my dog Hope had her second stoke and I was putting her to bed she was to weak to walk and I ask God if he could take her so I would have to put her down the next morning. She slipped off during the night. I think that my faith saved me from having to make a haunting choice

Any animal movie.
I have to watch them and always cry.
After my Bubby dropped dead, I watched A Dog’s Purpose.
Boy, was that ever a stupid thing to do.
Now, with Hrafi having cancer, all I do is cry.
This is the worst thing ever.
