Piping ammonia from Russia to Mykolaiv, Ukraine, to sell abroad would mean both sides would have to stop fighting around Mykolaiv. Except Mykolaiv is near Kherson. Ukraine would have to give up trying to take Kherson. When it was Russia who shut off the pipeline the day the invasion started in the first place. this is after Russia attacked the Odesa ports with cruise missiles right after signing a deal to allow grain to leave them for export. Which lead to the Turkish navy escorting the shipments after mine clearing operations.

Which means not matter what Russia promises, Ukraine will ignore this for the distraction it is. Which makes this another UN diplomatic bong hit pipe dream proposal that will never happen.
